OT: Sports trivia part 2.

Here we go Sky. Name a pro football player whose brother, uncle , and grandfather all went to Duke, and give their names.

That's a good one. Put it on hold and let's see who comes up with the tallest NFL QB. Don't want to get too many questions going on at one time. That happened last off season and it got confusing. LOL OFC

Dan McGwire is correct. Both Devilinside and GillJET each got one. The 1st one up gets to ask the next question. OFC

Christian McCaffery. Billy McCaffery and Dave Sime are the uncle and grandfather. Can't think right now who the brother is though. Whoever gets that can ask the next question if it's ok with everyone. OFC

Ed McCaffery?
One of Elway ‘s receivers

I think Ed is Christian's dad. I remember the brother at Duke not too long ago. I just can't remember his danged first name. Looking for hart. He knows I'm sure. OFC

2 part question.Name these 2 ACC coaches.
First one wore 1000.00 suits and very showy cufflinks. He had a very annoying habit of calling a timeout with a minute or 2 left in a game when his team had a huge lead. He would then make a very ostentatious effort to show off the cufflinks to the crowd knowing the game was won.
Second coach. Playing on the road at first coach’s gym he had the game well in hand with 2 minutes to go. He proceeded to call 3 timeouts in last 2 minutes . He walked up and down the aisle pretending to show his cufflinks to the crowd.
When the bus returned to the campus he took the team to a girls dorm and said “ When we beat ___ we have a party. “

One answer is correct.
Second answer incorrect. When second coach was playing a game at USC and losing he changed defenses. He went to triangle and 2 with the triangle around the basket and the 2 guarding the 2 officials. Bello was one of them. When asked what in the hell they were doing the players said we were leaving 3 around the basket and having 2 guarding the 2 that were deciding the game.
Hint: he once used Norm Snead as a walk-on in 1961.

Where did pro rassler Wahoo McDaniels play college football at? OFC

Which Duke football coach was born in Rocky Mount and coached at Delaware before coaching at Duke?

Bill Murray. OFC

Another really good guess. Surprised everyone with his sudden retirement after Duke blitzed Carplina 34-7 early 60's. Story goes higher ups at Duke told him they were de-emphasizing football. Did they ever!!!??? Took years and years to recover! OFC

I had forgotten the story about school de-emphasizing football but you are right.

Great gentleman was Murray. You are up

This was a guess. I decided to just name Duke's football coaches and Coach Murray happened to be next. I met him once at a Duke football game and sat with him a while. Very nice man. He was in his 60's then and talked to me like he had known me for years.

My question is who is the tallest linebacker to play in the NFL? OFC
