OT: Sports trivia part 2.

Because future little hof coach roy williams told then unc cheater u who already cheating told then unc cheater u coach Frank McQuire to turn him down. :D OFC

I would take can guess at it and say Duke did not make him an offer. OFC

He idolized Dick Groat and for many years wanted to play for Duke . His dad was a coach at Leigh and told him to tell Duke you are coming. He calls Duke and speaks to assistant Fred Shabel who ironically was on the team w Groat. Shabel tells him they are choosing between Packer and another guard.
Packer goes nuts and told him he won’t play for Duke. He picked Wake just because they played Duke 2 times a year and he wanted to make Duke sorry. Of course it helped he had Len Chappell under the basket. You are up.

Packer was a butt hole for sure. I have a friend who as a freshman at High Point College against Packer as a freshman. He said Packer was a real jerk. My friend said he and Packer guarded one another and was able to hold his own against him. OFC

LLWS 1998. What current MLB player went 4 for 4 with a home run and pitched the win for Tom's River N.J. to win the LLWS that year? OFC

In Jim Valvano’s epic speech, what 3 things did he say everyone should do each day?

Fiddle-de-de, I got one! That's a dynamite speech.

On to the question. What school holds the longest winning streak of NCAA football bowl games and how many consecutive wins was it?

Utah had a 9-game bowl winning streak earlier this century. If they're not it, I'm sure they're close.

Dave Sime played the lonesome end at Duke I believe. He also ran track and played baseball. As far as how the lonesome end came to be I think I heard that an end stood right on the side line of his team's bench on the line of scrimmage facing the field When the ball was just about to be snapped he turned and ran down the field wide open. This is really just a guess though. Good question anyway though. OFC

I think I read Sime only played football for Duke his senior year . First game was against Notre Dame and he scored 60 yd td on first play. Second possession for Duke he scored on 40 yd td pass. Duke did name him their top athlete in 20th century.
Got to think Zion will get a few votes for 21st century.

But Duke was not the first team to use the lonesome end. Who was?

Army in the early 50's. Heard this year's ago. Don't know why I remember crap like this ad I can't remember what I got up from my recliner to do 5 minutes ago although a good guess is to go pee. Being an old fart has its disadvantages such as not reading the question completely. OFC

The shortest QB ever in the NFL was 5'7" tall. The tallest ever was 6'8" tall. Name them both. OFC

Eddie Lebaron 5'7". Brock Osweiler, 6'8".

Eddie is correct. Brock according to my source is 6' 7.5 ". The QB I'm looking for is 6'8". Would like you to get the complete answer so here's a good hint. His brother played MLB and was 6'5". His brother was a really good player, a power hitter for sure . He retired a while back with some impressive power numbers but although eligible for the HOF he has never came close to being elected. I do ask for the first and last name of the QB though. OFC
