OT: Sports trivia part 2.

Ed Meadows - I think he played for the Bears, the Steelers and the Redskins.
I once played poker with him. Country Ed shot himself at Pine Knoll Shores. Was running a tire shop in Raleigh. He was best known for violent hit to the head on Bobby Lane in Lions/Bears game.
You are up.

Leon Spinks is correct,he defeated Muhammad Ali by split decision to win the undisputed championship in 1978.Instead of facing the number one contender for the title,he fought Ali in a rematch, losing a unanimous decision. The WBA stripped him of the title and for the next 12 years there were 2 champions, the WBA version and the WBC version until Mike Tyson re-united the 2 titles in 1990. Your up Mr Hoops!

Name the Duke player that kept asking Max Crowder to feed him pancakes before a game. What happened when Max finally gave in and served pancakes?

No. He was eating the pancakes prior to a game versus Miami and something pretty remarkable happened at that game.

Was reading the Duke Basketball Encyclopedia by John Roth and came across the
info. Will give it a few hours and see if anyone answers it. If not give the answer and you are up.

Although he was excellent in MLB, I am thinking he played some NBA possibly. I can only venture guess of Dick Groat as the player. No idea on coach.
