The defensive game plan vs Clemson was great, I don't understand tonight's plan. If it ain't broke don't fix it, it's broke right now!
Agree, we look flat, and VT looks like they have much more energy than we have! We will really have to reach down deep to come back in this one as everyone seems to be standing around waiting on someone else to do something.

I'm not usually this guy but I've seen enough of these games..... Unless we make some serious changes NOW this is gonna be a very very bad loss!!! K had such emotion last game, this one is just as big. WAKE THESE KIDS UP AND ADJUST. Hard to feel a win at this point without zone! They are gonna continue to hit crazy shots and get the bounces, that's a fact
Good grief where is the defense we played against Clemson? WHERE? Can we just once play two straight games of very good.... .scratch that just good defense? Just for two games?
They're lighting us up in the zone too. If you can't stop dribble penetration it doesn't matter if you're playing with six or seven guys....teams will score.
Definitely not as much. they were scoring on every play in man. about a 1/3 of the plays in zone. no way any defense is going to stop scoring at a 100%. We're back in this game because of the zone entirely imo. But our man defense has done it's job. It's given VT the confidence to believe they can win this game.
They are not and have swag now, they're gonna keep hitting, we just need to hit one more and get the f outa town with a W !!
Tyus should never, never try to dish off to a tall player directly under the basket in traffic. The ball almost always gets fumbled away or knocked away.
I feel like I'm watching UNC play with the inability to guard the 3-point line. This is infuriating.
We gotta stop giving them wide open looks from three. I've seen them make at least 2 or 3 this half where there wasn't a Duke player within like 3-4 feet of them when they shot a 3 pointer.
I told myself early in the year that the defense will improve as the season progresses but it just isn't the case. In the tourney, we will have to score to win. We won't have have the Defense card in the back pocket like UK. They could struggle offensively and still win running away. Makes me extremely nervous.
I agree. But we're very tired right now. You can see it all over the faces of our players.
If we get out of this with a win we're pretty fortunate. We also might need Quinn to make three or four more threes.
Lord thank you for saying it. Sure didn't make a bit of difference when we beat Virginia at home.
