OT: Sports trivia part 2.

It wasn't actually David Robinson being dunked on. That would be Doug Wojcik, who's on Michigan State's staff.

What former Duke football player did color commentary on NBC college and pro football telecasts during late 60s and early 70’s?

Name the Duke HOF football player who retired from the FBI at the mandatory age of 57. OFC

Billy Bryan?

You know it is Billy. Billy's a friend of mine although I haven't seen him in years. As a kid he wanted to join the FBI but football cost him so time from joining. Had a great career at Duke and spent 10 or so years with Broncos, all pro in 1985 and played in the pro bowl. He arrested a lot of white collar criminals you know The CEO's and investment brokers types that were scamming clients out of their money during the late 90's and 2,000 . Wonderful and humble guy. Never boasted about how good he was He lost his older brother Curry recently to cancer. You are up Dukeman. OFC

Ok here's a thought question. Someone will get it by reasoning or they may just know it. I've always wondered what the highest attendance was at Duke home football game so I do admit I did look it up. What is the most attendence at a Duke home football game within 3,000 fans. I don't expect anyone to get the right # . Just for fun name the opponent , year and score. OFC

The opposing team that day had the runner up for The Heisman Trophy that year. OFC

Actually the 1942 Rose Bowl opponent was Oregon State and the attendance was 56,000.
But probably not answer you wanted because the Heisman runner up for(41) season was Angelo Bertonelli from ND and Duke did not play ND in (41).

You are so close on the attendance though. The attendance part of the question which is all that is required should be pretty easy now by guessing just by the hint. As for the year , opponent and the score goes let this be a hint. What team would bring in that many fans? As far as the score it's tough but might be fun guessing. That Heisman Trophy runner up goes there's ano old song called The Chattanooga _ _ _ _ _ _. The year? It was in the 40's but late, late, late 40's. The score 3 score plus one to 3 score. OFC

Well probably UNC-Cheat the opponent. Choo Choo Justice(no secret he was paid well) was the Heisman runner-up. Can only guess that the year might have been 1947 and attendance around 59,000.

That's good enough. 57,500 on Nov. 19th 1949. The score was 21-20 and it was choo choo. The only way I knew is I looked it up. Always wondered what the record attendance is and thought it was the Rose Bowl also. You are up. OFC
