OT: Sports trivia part 2.

Neither one although he did try out for the Dodgers but they did not sign him. Both franchises have won championships with one team multiple times. The other not so. OFC

What player earned first team all-American status and was named the conference player of the year in both his freshman & sophomore campaigns before he turned pro. He averaged 30 as a freshman & 28 as a sophomore, but his school never reached the sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament during his stay ? (his team did make the tourney both years, but went a combined 1-2 while he starred.)

There have been just 3 NCAA Tournament games this decade that featured future NBA All-Stars from both teams. Name at least one combination from one of those three games (players and teams).

Whoa, good question. I can't remember who played each other...lol. I will guess a Kentucky kid Anthony Davis and Kemba Walker ( UCONN) ?

Here's some more hints: None of the three games occurred in the first weekend of the tournament. And the three games occurred in consecutive years (2010, 2011, 2012).

Going off of the partially right guess. Kemba Walker (UCONN) and Gordan Haywood (Butler) ?

Every player you mentioned is correct so far. However, not the right matchups. You have three players that played in one of these games from three different years... now you just need one of their counterparts

Butler played Michigan State in the FF....so I’m going to say Hayward and Draymond Green in 2010.

In 2011 Kemba and the Huskies I believe played Florida in the final four....so Bradley Beal as the other?

Now, 2012 has me stumped a little. I’m sort of assuming Anthony Davis is one of the guys. I know they played Louisville in the FF and KU in the national championship game. Neither of those teams to my recollection had an NBA All-Star. Knowing every FF team of the past 40 years isn’t helping me here.

This is a really good question.

Gordon Hayward (Butler) playing against Draymond Green (Michigan State) in the 2010 Final Four is correct. Since you shared the answer with @dtodd4475 I say whoever has a question first can go.

The other two correct answers-

2011 Sweet 16: Kemba Walker (UConn) played against Kawhi Leonard (San Diego State).
2012 Sweet 16: Anthony Davis (Kentucky) played against Victor Oladipo (Indiana).

Can't place the guy's first name....but McGee or something? I remember it being unconventional too. It either hit a player or club that was on the green (the group in front of McGee) and went in the hole.

At the 2001 Players Championship, Tiger had (and made) what many considered an impossible, triple-breaker putt....as the ball approached the hole, this announcer said three times, "better than most" in what has become one of the more iconic calls in golf history. Who was the announcer?
