Not Hicks.
This announcer is a former PGA Tour and Senior Tour player. He won six times on tour and has worked for NBC Sports and The Golf Channel the last few decades. He’s now in his 60s.
Not Jacobsen, either.
Maybe this is harder than I thought, although I know it’s one of the more iconic calls ever.
Tiger made the putt trailing Kenny Perry by three shots on the famous 17th hole (island green) at Sawgrass.
The only NBC announcer who has not been named is Gary Koch

We'll stick with golf.
Phil Michelson grew up in San Diego before heading off to ASU for college.
While in HS, Phil had a teammate I think 3 years his junior who later in life became famous for reason other than golf. His face was on television everyday around Christmas, 2002.
Who was he? What is he infamous for?
Is this thread still active? This may be an uncle. OFC

Tough question by Buckin' Sky!! OFC
Sky think we should go ahead w/the "uncle" and let Buckin ask another?? OFC
I think I know it. I'm from the Chicago area, and am familiar with the guy Peterson, who murdered his wife, with the case getting national attention. It was reported that he was a classmate or teammate of Mickleson in high school. Pretty sure his first name is Scott?
