every year we laugh on here about the injury excuses that typically come out of UNC. At the same time many are so quick to harshly judge our own players for a few bad games...or even just one...even knowing the staff will never tell us how they feel until after they are better.

IMO Jah is really struggling. Obviously he had a big point game but his movement is different on the court. If I had to guess I would assume he is no better then 70%.

I wouldn't be surprised we see a much better defender next week with a few extra days off.

I agree Tim. I hated losing Friday, but could be a good thing for us. More than likely we are looking at a Friday Sunday scenario this week, which gives us more time to rest, heal, and regroup. I expect us to come out fired up Friday. I really feel bad for the 16 seed we draw!!!

he really "tweaked" his ankle early in the NCSU game and from then on he wasn't the same. You can see that in the ND game they pushed him further away from the basket and his drives seem hesitant.

i suspect his ankle is hurting him more than we know. not sure how the games line up but i am hoping for a friday - sun matchup this weekend so we can get an extra day of rest. a week off would be great for those sore ankles.

It seems like the kind of injury that doesn't hurt all the time, rather more so when he pushes on it really hard. That little bit of hesitation can ruin an offensive game for a guy as explosive as him.

We'll be in Charlotte....so Friday-Sunday it will be.

Jah's ankle was never going to be 100% again this season. A month of doing nothing is the best way for him to heal. Hopefully his time off is still a ways away.

Thx jay. Hope you striped it yesterday.

True about the ankle, but a weeks rest at this time of year is like gold. I will definitely take it.

I worry about a little rust, but in this case I think the week off is beneficial. Jah,'s ankle, Justise's ribs, Quinn's flu, and whatever other aches and pains should improve with the rest.
