Does last night sting? Sure. Are we going to have to wear a SFA badge for a very long time? Sure. But thankfully it is November and not March.

Listen- We as fans like to dramatize the highs and lows of a season. We ride the highs too high and we ride the lows too low. We are not the best team in the country right now. We have flaws. But we also have a lot of talent and a lot of nice pieces to work with.

We got punched in the mouth every which way last night. Doesn’t make us a bad team, doesn’t mean our season is doomed. But we have a lot to work on. We have said it before but not having an RJ or Zion is a double edged sword. We don’t have those alpha males late in the game that likely would have prevented last night from happening. But we won’t be complacent this year, we are going to grow as a single unit. Every person is going to push the teammate next to them.

Buckle up guys, it is going to be an eventful year. Within the first month we’ve already beaten a top 3 team and suffered the biggest upset in the last decade+. Who knows what will happen next....But we will be Duke.

It doesn’t sting as bad in November as it does in March, but when you look at the past several years it’s a continuing trend and you can’t help but see the inevitable come March with this team. We are missing that absolute go to guy in a game like this. Last year we had 2 of the best go to guys in recent history and They couldn’t get it done in the end. Hard not to be skeptical. I hope to God something clicks with this team and they drastically improve but sometimes the writing is on the wall.

But no matter what,,,,Go Duke!!!!!!!!!!
