Earlier someone said they'd never go to a game at the dome unless Duke was there. I got the chance once, a friend on my dad gave us tix to see Wake play there. My dad's a wake fan so we went. Ended up being the worst defeat for the heels ever at the dome. So that's a good reason right?

This is pretty funny. It's too bad this "developing" of players doesn't translate to the next level. If you look at the current UNC players in the NBA, Vince Carter is better than all but maybe two of them, and he's near retirement.
If Roy had landed more of the top recruits he offered scholarships to, I doubt players like Brice Johnson put up the kind of stats he did last season.

We did beat 2 teams we weren't supposed to that year (Baylor and WV), were underdogs in every game it seemed, and beat Kensucky without even playing them, haha.
Also, I believe that lesser opponent beat 2 #1 seeds on its way to the NC game. They really sucked.

Not only that, but that 2010 Butler team was so good that they lost the only lottery pick in school history (who is currently a terrific pro), and what was left was still good enough to make it back to the championship game the next year. Anyone contending that 2010 Butler team wasn't outstanding is showing a real lack of basketball savvy (or even common sense).

This came from a thread OAD Flops by one of the thr regulars that post here on DI. Austin is averaging 10.8 ppg this year on one of the top teams in the NBA. Perhaps by thr standards that's a flop. I think it's pretty good and he's gonna be in the league for a while. Maybe when butterbutt44 drops in he can explain what a OAD flop is by his standards. I did love how Sub-Zero flopped that 3 in down in chapel hill on his OAO ( one and only ) visit to the banner dome. OFC.

Guys, we all know why that 2010 championship sticks in their craw so much. Just 5 months earlier the Black Falcon Skyped his commitment to the Heels. UNC fans thought that was going to change the balance of power for a long time...and it did...just not the way they envisioned. They (and especially THR posters) haven't gotten over it yet. How sweet it is!

I've always said that....since the Barnes commitment things have been relatively one-sided. And it's been in a good way for us. It hurt at the time, but things have worked out.
To be fair we have to act differently on opposing fanbase boards or risk the ban. Or at least we can't bash the other team so I have no problem with him posting this on his board I just know he comes here and didn't want to risk a ban myself. The OOTB posters aren't insane like some others on THR.

Hey tw. I'll respond when I'm back home. Just so you know, that post was simply a biased opinion from a Carolina fan lol, not a shot at any of you.
So it is my opinion that the 2010 Duke team was not one of the better championship squads that has ever existed. That's not to say it wasn't a good team, but yeah a lot of us Carolina fans were pissed that year haha, you also swept us easily that year.

blue34 you should remember that you are basically a guest on a rivals board. You are also a fan of a team most of us can't stand. You have been treated more than fair on our board and our mods have been really nice to you. You should try to remember that and shouldn't be so tart here.

I have the utmost respect for your mods. You're correct, I've been treated very fairly here and I appreciate that. It is possible to be cordial with rival fans. However, as you said, our fanbases hate each other. I don't think what I said on OOTB was all that horrible, you guys crap on Carolina all the time. I don't hold it against you. Going back to the Butler as an "inferior team" as runner-up discussion, I think you could make a very compelling argument that 2010 Butler was a better team than 2016 UNC (also a runner-up). I don't know if that is how I feel (nor do I know if it isn't), but no doubt an argument could be made.
On the way to the finals, Butler defeated two top ten RPI teams (Syracuse and K St.) and another top 20 team (Michigan St.)., compared to UNC's road:

It's the difference between our boards not necessarily the fan base. You've lived longer than me so you may have better perspective on this topic, but UNC fans aren't universal nutjobs. Crazy fans come from all walks of life.
