Favorite THR Quotes....

I hadn't even thought about the government....I bet they are involved. If I were UNC fans I'd watch what I was saying on THR.
Believe it or not there are some state fans who think that high ranking NC government officials are trying to hold them down and help UNC win.

Gary was watching with the coaching mafia last night....and they all agreed that the refs were screwing UNC. If they're saying it, too, then it has to be true. (For the record, he didn't mention if the mafia was blaming the officials in every other game too, although I'm sure that goes without saying.)

"As for the refs, sorry, but I call it as it is. Fact is, they were just terrible --- one in particular. I watched the game with a couple of members of my coach mafia (neither of whom are Carolina fans BTW), and more than once one of them said, "man, Nestor is just killing you guys!" We were getting the ball inside and driving a lot and could not get a call. Didn't even hit the bonus in the second half until Jackson's miss, and how may times did JB end up on the floor, and zero FTs to show for it? And how #50 stays in a game is beyond me, all the while Hicks is picking up phantom calls. It is an issue and it is affecting games."

Unfortunately, I was watching the game with my coaching entourage, and my one buddy Carlos who isn't even a Clemson fan was telling me that the refs we're killing us. Diego agreed and he's not a clemson fan either. Jus' sayin.

This crap is sickening. "Coach mafia" LOL, what a dork. And of course he tries and make it sound non biased by saying the two watching with him aren't even Hole fans. I have to believe this is an absolute fabrication. What a clown.

I sanitized myself both before and after taking a brief look at the DI board The doochies LOVE this... They LOVE that K is "giving the middle finger to the rest of the world... What a collection of total aholes and doochbags

They DESERVE that phony coach of theirs who will do anything to win

BTW Lance Thomas cover up now in the sixth year

This idiot is obsessed with the Lance Thomas thing. Mentions it as often as he can. What a sicko.

Gary laying down more blame on those awful refs last night. He's now suggesting the one should face suspension. You simply can't make it up.

"The refs affected the game, especially Nestor, and no, the affect was not neutral by any means. It makes no sense to whitewash that. Just for one example he stood there when the Clemson guy grabbed JJ's arm right in front of him at a crucial time in the game with nothing blocking his view. I've played, coached and reffed the game and failing to make that obvious call is inexcusable, and if there was any accountability that would merit a suspension or reduction in assignments."

What a total loser.

Got a free ticket for my first experience at Cameron. Trippy is already back, and the crowd was going nuts every score even when they were up by 45.

We better step it up like Maui once Theo gets back, and we better get Knox for next year. I do not want to lose to these bums on either count.

Just kills me to know that keysersosay thinks Duke is a PATHETIC program. Ha haaaa.

Just a little snippet from yet another asinine rambling by DSouthr. Nobody develops talent better than Roy! Lol.

"Brice the freshman was not nearly the player he was last season, look at meeks this season as compared to the last couple. Kid just gave us back to back games of 14 & 16 rebounds, even Joel berry didn't start as a frosh and now he is our absolute most valuable player. Player after player has developed under Roy, no matter what he was ranked.

To do what Roy has had his teams do, especially with all the extra baggage that has been heaped on us over the last 6yrs, really is remarkable and a feat I am not sure any other coach would be up to task for. Duke, Ky, kansas, Arizona would not be winning nearly as much if they had the level of talent we have and if Roy had the level of talent those programs have been able to get, I strongly believe he would have out performed any of those other programs."

Just was getting ready to post this when I saw yours. What kind of tar heel fan goes to Cameron when the heels aren't playing there and then has to gall to start a thread about it. I don't know about the rest of you but I would never go to the dome to watch the heels play anyone but Duke and I would have serious doubts about that much less post it here on DU. You guys would have a field day with me.. I just wonder what he did while he was there. He said something about the crowd going nuts up 45. I've seen a hof coach roy williams team scoring at the buzzer up tons of points. What's this gauchoheels point. OFC

I still can't believe someone started a petition about overturning the NCAA final last year. And lots of people signed it. That had to be started and signed by people between the ages of 6 and 15.

Go read the stats and stuff thread from the Clemson game before it gets deleted.

I went over and checked out that thread...the first time I've been over there in quite some time. The incessant complaining about refs by Gary, as bad as it is, isn't what got my attention. It was the scrimmage between him and Butterbutt about why Meeks doesn't dunk very often. I honestly haven't laughed that hard in a lonnnnnnnnnng time! Gary's reasoning being that historically Dean & UNC coaches haven't really fancied the dunk by their players...and would rather they lay the ball in, as a default shot. Butterbutt asks if he really means that is why Meeks doesn't dunk, and of course Gary slams him with his old faithful 'reading comprehension is hard' line. And the back & forth goes on through quite a few posts...with Gary still implying that Meeks doesn't dunk because of UNC coaching...yet still gets pissed at Butterbutt for repeating what he just said!:D:D:D:D:D Fun stuff!

Oh, at the age of 64, and with multiple back surgeries, I can probably still see more daylight between my shoes and the floor than Meeks. That might have something to do with that dunking thing.

And one other thing. What does Gary have on Mikeirby? Mike always comes in to rescue him when the heat gets turned up.

Wow, I guess I shouldn't be shocked anymore by anything that dimwit says but good Lord. So, gary knows that big men at Holeville are told to NOT dunk the ball (highest percentage shot in the game) but to actually lay it up, huh? The nonsense, excuses, delusion over there is truly something to behold.

DJ gov"t officials would be enough to correct the wrongs done to UNC by crooked referees.IMO only Gary"s unbiased Mafia Coaches have the understanding ,knowledge and wisdom to correct the heinous wrongs did to the Heels

I don't understand that either. I've seen post by mike trying to get thr to stay more focused on tar heel basketball but he must love him some guru gary-7. Maybe guru gary - 7 is really hof coach roy williams and mike knows that. OFC

I'm not going to post it but thr has a thread Another Grayson Allen Trip. Someone has researched Duke games and it seems like every time an imposing player goes down when he's close to Grayson it's a trip. It's getting to be over the top. The refs could call tripping in every basketball game. OFC

I originally thought he should get a five year sentence in prison but to me if he's been tripping everyone in every game- I'm thinking he gets the chair. What do you think he will order for his final meal?

Honestly when we play them I hope the refs make a horrible call that seals the win for us. Anything that pisses them off is a win for me. If we don't blow their azzes off the court of course.

Yeah, there is a lot of nonsense said by certain posters on our board. Then our moderator for some reason seems to hold those posters up on a pedestal and get on everyone's case who does not worship those posters.

He enables this shit to happen. Then people get attacked for complaining about it. If it weren't such an issue, I probably wouldn't be over here half the time.

I saw someone call Gary out for always bringing up his coaching, playing days or whatever which I thought was a great call out. It doesn't make you more credible to just say that. I could tell you I was in the NBA and how in the world would you know.

I think you're letting him off a little too easy, Timo. Maybe a kneecapping or two, and the removal of all finger and toenails with a set of rusty pliers...then the chair.
As for Grayson's final meal...maybe Seth Greenberg's head on a spit.

Yeah, mikeirby is a terrible mod. Toe the company line over there or else you're gone.

I think mikeirby is just a terrible person. My brother gave that guy several hundred dollars to help with some medical expenses. He didn't do it for a "thank you," but he didn't get one either. Sick or not, you should always thank someone willing to help you out.
