Favorite THR Quotes....

I think Frank Jackson will definitely out score Berry on nights that Frank is on fire and Drew is cold. Amile will crush Hicks rebounding when Amile is really feeling it but Hicks fouls out early. Wow this really is fun.
I guess every board has their share of poor posters who don't seem to comprehend what is said in posts. DSouth would be proud. = )

I've read tons of your posts. I comprehend you dead on. Our posters are excited about Tatum, you're over here predicting he'll be a let down. Take that crap back to THR. READ YOUR posts again. Do you see what you said? Cmon now.

Let me help you since you are struggling.

1. I said he is likely better than the Justin Jackson on an every day basis who I think is pretty good.

2. I said he could be a star or a dud... I think he will be a Star.

3. You said thinking Tatum could even possibly be a dud would make me the "nost ignorant poster ever".

4. Skal Labissiere was the number 1 overall recruit last year. He was a dud.

1 and 2. I said I think Tatum will be good which is the opposite of what you said which looks bad for your comprehension.

3 and 4... actually not acknowledging Tatum has a chance to be a dud is ignorant on your own part especially with a prime example from last year. And, again, I said I thought he would be a star.

Not looking good for your comprehension/logic.

And to top it off...

I said I think Jackson on his best night is better than Tatum on his best night most likely. You provided examples of Amile on a roll vs Hicks fouled out and Jackson on fire with "Drew" sick.

Which again. Shows a lack of logic/comprehension to what is said.

However, this is your site and not mine. So carry on in your own world where you are right. I will mosey back to my own site.

Have a good day!

Dude, you say some really nice things, blended in with your backhanded jabs. This isn't my site. I just post here. It's just my job to keep posters like you on the path. You know, the UNC posters who show up here, act like mr nice guy, smooze the mods a bit, throw in a few backhanded jabs here and there, pick up the pace and get away with them because a mod or two has only seen some of the sweet things you said but miss the jabs. End up going to far, ruin our day or two with ignorant BS then get permabanned. Hey, if you're not that guy, great. But I don't miss many.

Looking forward to Tatum Donkey-Dunkin' on your boy. should be fun. ;)

This azz clown just said Jackson on his best night will be better than Tatum on his best night. Dude go home and smoke another one.

He has been inching towards that statement this entire thread, but he finally owned up and said it. So now we can all call him crazy because it is a crazy thing to say, especially on a duke board. If you want to live in a fantasy land where JJ puts it all together and goes from late first early second round pick to a top 5 pick, go right ahead, but that is homerish. This entire "when they both are on fire" nonsense was really you wanting to say I hope JJ hits his ceiling this year and if he does I think he is better than Tatum. Which almost the entire rest of the board and myself disagree with and why wouldn't we. I would say it is much more realistic that one of the top players in a loaded class doesn't turn out to be a "dud" than to have a guy, who has proven to be inconsistent at this level, puts it all together. I have noticed that you like to concede smaller aspects of an argument which aren't really being debated, to try and win over what it is that you really want to debate. Some call it buttering up, but whatever it may be I will make this as clear as possible. I don't think Jackson has a higher ceiling, I don't think Jackson is better when he is on fire and I don't think Jackson is a better player period. I will concede that Tatum has not yet played a single college game and may have some growing pains throughout the year, but that still wouldn't change my opinion as to who is better. When I take a step back and look at the skill set of the two players, one (Tatum) far outweighs the other (Jackson). IMO of course.

In the future, if you want to say something assertive go right ahead and say it. Dancing around the point simply confuses us.

No inching towards anything. I was pretty straight up. On a normal day Tatum is likely better. Jackson I think is better on both their best days. Jackson is a consistency issue.

Streaky good players tend to have a higher ceiling when they are on then players who are consistently great.

I am a UNC fan, I could be biased for my own team. Nothing wrong with that. I said from the outset what my position was. Not a secret.

And, sorry to hear about tatum. That is terrible to hear. I hope it is nothing serious.

From Steat, loosely on Tatum's injury:

"We will never know the severity of the injury because of K-Rat's secrecy. Remember Kyrie, Amile Jefferson, etc. All that ever came out as they were injured. On the other hand, K-Rat shocked us on Giles because he must get Giles back on the court to avoid upsetting his 2017 recruiting plans. he may surprise us and do the same for Tatum to avoid upsetting 2017 recruiting. K-Rat keeps everything close to the vest. No one knew about Kyrie's Irving's toe until some fan asked him during the warm-up on his first game back (The Arizona Massacre game)."

There's obviously very little to glean from this, but Katz wrote an ESPN article on 12/9/10 regarding Kyrie being out indefinitely with a right toe injury. It's as if Steat wants to be blatantly wrong about absolutely everything.

Not only that but he was back two games prior to that and even warmed up vs UNC in the ACC championship. Solid facts though Dr. Steat

Can a moderator for this site please pm me when they get a chance? Having a technical issue with the site I wish to ask about. No hurry.

That guy is disgusting. And I have noticed how he just loves calling the Arizona loss the "Arizona Massacre game" whenever he gets the chance. What a dork.

Glad I'm not the only one that can find humor in the ridiculousness that Dave posts on a daily basis.

Hope it's nothing serious with Tatum, hate to see college kids get hurt, no matter what team they play for.

That clown, and a few others over there, are an absolute embarrassment to your entire fanbase. Some real sickos over there. Being as totally unbiased as I can, I truly see nothing at all over here that resembles the absolute trash at THR.

Son of Saul at RR. I have always wondered why they ALWAYS talk about what a huge ball hog Tatum is. I mean, is he really that bad??

"He'll be fine. He's expected to be back within a week and is ready to take his average allotment of 22 forced shots per game."

Jason Spear at RR keeping it classy...

"prayers, healing, hope for the best, blah blah blah.

I hope it's a nagging injury that keeps him from playing well all year. Don't want Duke being any better than they could be. Just keeping it real. He can get better between April and June and get drafted high, have a great career, blah whatever. For now... don't care."

I'm not sure why he has such an obsession with K. He seems to hate him more than he likes UNC. The way he acts you would think K shot his dog or something. He takes things way too seriously.

I think Steat also likes to get some Duke posters going...and it works. That said, he believes a lot of what he posts too. That makes him an idiot.

I think recruits who tend not to live up to their ranking are often big men. I've watched Jayson a lot the last few years....he's the real deal and then some. If you polled 100 "experts" on who would they think would be better between Jackson and Tatum (and took Duke and UNC fans out of that equation) I have little doubt that Tatum would win in a major landslide. The only advantage Jackson has, IMO, is experience. Now that's valuable, I'll give you that....but he's not the player that Tatum is. He's just not.

If you are removing Duke and UNC fans, and asking people who make their living evaluating basketball talent (NBA GMs and coaches for example), I genuinely think the vote might be 100 to 0. That is in no way saying Jackson is bad, it is just saying Tatum in better.

/\. In general, I agree. But I think one could conceivably argue that Jackson is more on par with him as a college player. We all know plenty of college players who held the role of star in school but things didn't translate to the pros. I actually expect Jackson to have a pretty good year for UNC and contend for All-ACC honors.

Definitely. He isn't a first team guy, but he could land somewhere on the other teams for sure.

I knew doc steat would come through for us.

The fact that K got a scare that his title hopes may have been going down the drain was worth the discussion. Probably had to go with with an extra coat of hair color after the Tatum scare. K-Rat, The Leader of Men.

On the other hand........Mmmm hmmmmm. I don't believe a word out of that rat's mouth.

What a sad sad man

Ozheelfan here. Then Pinson was set to electrify college basketball this season?!! Lolllll.

"Sorry for any player hurt.
Mostly sorry for Theo - I thought he was set to electrify college bball this season.
Don't give a crap about Dook, except for the couple of times a year the Heels play them..... and for those games I don't care what strength they are at, as long as UNC wins."

Check out this sicko Steat. Him and DSouthr are neck and neck for most pathetic pieces of s**t over at that THR dump.

"Let me tell you what is pretty weak.
When Kendall Marshall got hurt in the NCAA Tourney a few years ago and we got no sympathy from Duke fans. A convincing argument could be made that the Heels would have won the title that year if Marshall would not have been hurt

Let me tell you what is pretty weak.
The way that K-Rat kept a healthy Amile Jefferson on the bench in regular season final game against UNC last year, plus the entire NCAA tournament. Thus, saving him for this year knowing that they had no chance of winning a title last year.

Let me tell you what is pretty weak.
The way that K-Rat convinces kids to forego their last year in high school to bail him out and treats them badly once he does not have a need for them. Then forces them to transfer.

Let me tell you what is pretty weak.
The way that K-Rat asks like a spoiled child when he loses a game.

Let me tell you what is pretty weak.
The way that K-Rat avoids the press at halftime by sending out his assistant coaches because he is afraid that he will say something stupid.

Let me tell you what is pretty weak.
The way that K avoids shaking the hands of rival players once he loses a tough game a home (Syracuse game last year)

Weak? You get the drift. I hope Duke loses every game. K-Rat is a selfish man that retire a very disgruntled man for not being able to break Wooden's record."

Always remember Success Breeds Jealousy....When Duke was a minor player in K's first 2-3yrs, nothing K did mattered. Consistently winning is the formula that has driven them mad....And ultimately they know he does it The Right Way...

Unfortunately they don't and that is where the real issue lies. I am sure some of them make harmless cracks because they enjoy the rivalry and enjoy busting each other's chops, but people like Steat and Gary actually believe the nonsense they spit out.

It's the old George Costanza theory on lying...."it's not really a lie, if you believe it."

Some of them have trumped up so many ridiculous theories over the years that they now believe them all as fact.

keysersosay....do they really not realize we are laughing at their nonsense?? Talk about unnecessarily flattering yourself....lol.

"The 100 page.... ONE HUNDRED PAGES !!!!!!! thread devoted to US and our posters that the doochies have over there at that sewer they call a website, is so revealing and defines their basic insecurity as a fan base.

The FACT they devote so much attention to what we say HERE...and the FACT WE devote so LITTLE attention to what is said THERE, is just fantastic from my perspective. They have a massive inferiority complex and they display it every day.

please keep it up doochies ...you are a never ending source of amusement and entertainment for us...when we bother to take notice."

Steat:

"Butt, let me try to give you some insight on one of the issues that have been a sore spot in the past. First, I have not visited the Duke board in a long time, so I don't know what you post over there. There is one trait that I recommend you avoid as much as possible. In chat board language it's called "feeding the wolves". Let me give you an example. Lets say one of the Duke posters makes a comment that a particular UNC poster is a "deadbeat". Then the UNC poster chimes in and agree with the Duke poster and add in negative comments about the UNC poster. This is called "feeding the wolves". The Duke posters love UNC fans that visit their board to assist them in chopping up UNC fans. Not saying you do this because I don't visit their board and have not reviewed any of your comments. I look at it as a respect issue. One should never criticize a UNC poster on a rival chat board. Don't feed the wolves. Again, not saying you are guilty of this, but "feeding the wolves" will tick some folks off over here. If you are going to criticize a UNC poster, then keep it in house. I have been posting on this board for several years and there has been several UNC posters guilty of feeding the wolves. In most cases, the UNC posters eventually are baited and banned from the Duke site. You will never see a Duke fan posting on our site that is critical of other Duke fans. They just don't do it. If they did, they would get banned from the Duke site. Our Mods don't ban UNC fans for what they post on other sites. It's just a protocol issue. I disagree with a lot of UNC posters on this site, but I will never criticize them on a rival site. Never have...never will."
