This may be famous last words, but I feel like Coach Diaz is more invested in Duke than his predecessor, and it's easier to sell a place when you are so committed yourself. Plus, the administration is much more committed to football than I have ever seen.

I agree Lift. IMO and solely my opinion. Diaz has found a great school that has money they're willing to invest with reasonable expectations. I feel like the ACC as a conference is not going to make it. I hope I'm wrong and I want to be wrong, just my 2 cents.
I think the Duke brass have realized if they don't invest in football to at least get to a competitive state. The invite from say the SEC or a B10 isn't going to happen with just Duke Bball alone. If they can get Duke FB to a perennial T25 or fringe T25 team, Duke as a whole will be more attractive. There's also ZERO reason Duke FB shouldn't be a T25 team year in/year out anyway.
Diaz was at the game Saturday on the court during a break. Smart move on his part and I think he is enjoying the Duke experience
A little Blue Devil news here. Duke is in his top 3 now along with State and Vs Tech.
they were hosting lots of guys the last few weekends and most are very highly rated for Duke. multiple 4 star kids each weekend with highly rated 3 stars also. lots of official visits are getting set up right now for after the ''dead period'' we are entering. the way it seems/looks right now we might be recruiting at an even better level for this class next year if we follow thru.

FYI i don't know if anyone caught this yet but Cain got a jump to 5.7 now as a commit. that is now a 5.8 and 3ea 5.7's committed in our four verbals. the bar is getting higher and higher

FYI Zachary Franks 6'6'' OL last years portal transfer from Northwestern to the portal again. he had an injury issue there and tore his ACL here last year and never helped. wish him well but don't see this as a loss. so that is now the kid from Stanford and the kid from Northwestern transferring out after a year. people who say that P5 kids are better need to look at our history with them and then the smaller schools. it all about the kids desire not where they came from.
He looks really good, ole miss was trying to get him to decommit.
