Watched Diaz press conference he is top notch praising the city of Durham in helping get recruits . Need to have good fan support at bowl game and next year's schedule to support his efforts. Need to keep Manny at Duke
Davis had a big game for Greensboro Grimsley tonight in the playoff win. He will fit in nicely on defensive line. Our defensive stats got his attention in his recruitment

so the transfer portal ''officially'' opens tomorrow. it seams there will be a few kids leaving us but mainly benchers who want to go and get playing time somewhere.
per Manny's press conference we will be involved but as he said ''more of a sniper'' approach which to me means fewer kids
If I'm reading the tea leaves correctly. That tells me he's comfortable with who he has coming back and the incoming class. That if he see's a player that fits a specific need that he can't turn down. He's going to go after them.
I'm saying all of that only to say this approach gives me a lot of confidence in next year's team.

Anyone going to the Gator Bowl? I and 2 of my Duke frat brothers are going. We’re 14 point underdogs, but i don’t see our D letting us get blown out like that, especially with 3 weeks to prepare. This will let me check off another bucket list item, seeing Duke FB in a bowl game (and a good one at that).

I'm surprised about Murphy but the way things are I shouldn't be. We will be fine at QB
I’m honestly not surprised but to not play in the bowl game is shitty
I feel the same way, LGD, but i guess if he wants to transfer, he probably doesn’t want to risk injury. Kind of the same thinking behind the guys who have NFL aspirations in a few months and decide to sit out a bowl game. Although we had a couple of guys suit up last year for our bowl game against Troy last year, even though they were going to transfer.
As many of you know, i wasn’t a big fan of his, due to his reluctance to run, and relatively weak touch and accuracy. But I acknowledged his great plays as well, such as the clincher against Wake. He always seemed like a good kid and represented us well. So I hope he continues to improve (unless it’s against us) and lands in a good spot.

I don’t think this has anything to do with Brewer and I really don’t think the staff expected this. I could be 100% wrong tho but if that was the case they didn’t prep any qbs for next year. Putting Loftis against an sec team for his first start could be a disaster

I read somewhere else that some of Ole Miss' stars have announced they are playing in the Gator Bowl. This will be Manny's biggest challenge yet. Our defense better be stout. I hope the coaches are able to put in some wrinkles with Belin and Loftis playing.
I hate this matchup because Kiffin is going to do everything possible to try and stomp us in the ground to drive his point about the ACC being a joke. And now without Murphy I’m not sure what to expect from the Duke offense. As inconsistent as he could be he also made some amazing passes as well. Our defense will come to play though for sure.
I hate it when they do that. It is not like he is some Top Pick in the draft and wants to stay healthy.
The Tulane QB already visited but there are some big time football schools after him.

Sick about it Lift. I knew our chemistry could be altered for the bowl, but honestly Grayson has pined (no pun intended), for an opportunity like this.
I knew Loftis was probably headed out when he posted the Mensah kid from Tulane's visit to Duke on his X account today. That was the last straw. Loftis still follows Elko and last year's OC Kevin Johns. He no longer follows Manny. Belin gets keys Jan.2nd now I guess.
