Has duke looked at this kid? this was posted on the main board
"Not sure how familiar you guys are with this kid. But my goodness. Best HS player I've seen, out of Indiana. And maybe, well, anywhere. Plays for my first HS, and former hometown, New Albany. Currently ranked #1, and will play for Indiana's Class 4A(largest class) State title next saturday.
This kid is the real deal. Phenomenon. He's roughly 150-200 points away from breaking schools all-time scoring record. As a sophomore.
Anyway. ..I know many of folks who are deeply tied to the program. Word is, he's a Duke guy. I spoke to a former NA great today, and he says its Duke. Romeo currently ranked 24th in his class. But trust me, thats gonna change. He scored 46 yesterday vs Southport, who has D1 guys of their own, on 15-24 shooting (8-12 from 3), in Semi-State final. Had 43 with 2:30 left in 3rd quarter. But NA led by 21, so he was rested.
Anyway. Just curious if any of you Duke guys have heard of him. If not....You will.
