If Duke does beat UNC Saturday they may be the 9th seed and play UNC the 8th seed again in the first round. Unless FSU loses to Notre Dame they would play winner of 8 vs 9. If not it would be UVA.
Either way next week will remind me of the past when you have to win the tournament to go to NCAAs. Duke plays well in Greensboro . I got a feeling Duke may just surprise us.

I'm not confident we could beat UNC once, let alone twice. But they usually do the opposite of what I expect so who knows. I just don't want to go out on a 4 game losing streak. A win Sat. would be huge for confidence.

I like the fact that we are different looking team than the one UNC beat back in January. Williams gives us a big that can compete with UNC's front line. Coleman too to a lesser extent. We got outrebounded pretty good last game. UNC shooting 67% from 3 didn't help us either. I think we win Saturday if we get any sort of production from our guards. The rubber match in the ACC's (if it happens) is a total toss up. Beating UNC twice in a week is a tall order, but it would be the only way we make the NCAA's.

A third game would be fun. UNC made a big deal of looking for additional games over the last month. If both teams get knocked out of the acc tournament early, it would be fun to have a home and home with UNC on Friday and Saturday. I’m probably dreaming, and the ACC would probably not allow it, but it would be fun

A third game would not be fun if we lost all 3. :)
I was responding to the first post. A Duke win would almost certainly result in a Wednesday rubber game between Duke and UNC. If Duke sags back on defense except for Kerwin Walton, UNC will shoot a low percentage from the perimeter. Caleb Love made 4 of 5 threes in the first game against Duke. That's an aberration. Walton was 4 of 4. That could happen again if left open

I've read in several places that a Duke win means a rematch with unc the #8 seed. Based upon the league's decision that UNC wins the tiebreaker against Syracuse, it appears to me that UNC is locked into the #7 seed. It looks like a Duke loss results in a third UNC game, and a Duke win means Duke plays Syracuse in the first round, and UNC would play NC State
