OT: Sports trivia part 2.

What Duke Football Defensive Back clinched Duke's narrow 2013 win over UNC in Chapel Hill by picking off a pass over the middle in the waning moments???

Devils would win ACC Coastal and go on to the Chick FIl-A bowl losing a heartbreaker to Johnny Manziel and Texas A&M.... OFC

Hint:

This player suffered a season ending leg injury vs Notre Dame in a nationally telecast game at South Bend in '16. The Blue Devils would go on to win the game, but the season was seriously impacted with this player's loss. OFC

Hint:

He scored 3 td's vs State in Durham in a Duke win in 2013, two on turnovers abd one on a KO return!

Well 24 hours and no answer. The ex Blue Devil's name is Devon Edwards. Good guess by @skysdad so I give the next question to Sky! You are up buddy!

Mel was after Ford. Wells never won it. I'll give a hint on the 1st one. He won it in 1958. I have an old baseball card of him. I was really young when I got the card and his last name reminded me of Thanksgiving with the exception of one letter. In fact I thought his last name really was about Thanksgiving dinner. OFC

Red Ruffing and Dave Righetti

Neither. The Cy Young didn't start until around 1956 so Ruffing bob was through. I thought the last would be easy. He wasn't a home grown Yankee. He also is the youngest pitcher ever to win the Cy Young so he has won more than one. Come on Yankee fans you know who they are. I want someone to get both right. I like the game to move on. OFC

She packed my bags last night pre flight,

Got to have to have the 1st one. bob Do I have to spell it out for you guys. By the way I need some help on a NFL football player that played in the 2000's His 1st name was Kyle and he played for Saints, Rams and Cheifs. Just can't come up with his last name though. OFC

This guy never came close to the HOF. He did win over 100 games. He won more than he lost. His e.r.a was well under 4.00. He struck out over 1200 and his nickname was Bullet. OFC

A post just to pass the time bob away until one of you gets the 1st guy. I know its a few months away but I love Thanksgiving. I love the parades, the football games but best of all I love the food. The turkey, giblet gravy, sweet potato casserole and the turley dressing. What do you guys like about Thanksgiving? OFC

Ok guys the pitchers name is spelled out fully in one of my hints. I going to bed as soon as 48 hours is over. The episode is about bob Lorenzen Wright the NBA turley player who was murdered. If none of you can find the pitchers name in the hints you have my permission to cheat. The 1st poster than comes up with the answer whose name is spelled out in the Thanksgiving post or the one who cheats gets to ask the next question. OFC

These three modern era baseball players all flirted with the magical .400 batting average.Their marks: .388 in '77, .390 in '80 and .394 in '94. You dont have to match the player to the year, simply name the 3 players-

1977 - Rod Carew
1980 - George Brett
1994 - Tony Gwynn

Would have have interesting to see if Gwynn could have come close if not for the strike-shortened 1994 season.

True and of course had he achieved the magical mark in the strike shortened season, he would have received the Maris asterisk no doubt....Regardless Dj you are up sir! OFC

Let’s stick with Tony Gwynn....Gwynn won eight national league batting titles and had an astounding 905 multi-hit games in his career. What MLB pitcher, now a hall of famer, surrendered more hits to Gwynn than any other pitcher with 39?
