OT: Sports trivia part 2.

I've already looked. I would never has guessed him but now that I look back it all did come back. He was the second leading scorer in the game for Duke. Don't know how I overlooked him or forgot about his performance that game because it was big. OFC
You probably overlooked or forgot about him for the same reason that I did. When most people think of those 91 & 92 Duke teams they probably think of Laettner, Hurley and G Hill because they were so big for Duke during those 2 seasons

Thanks Sky, good question and that means some really good Duke qbs arent in that elite group: Brown and Boone were both GREAT GUESSES by QC...Also, Sirk, Sladen, Dilweg among others. OFC

Speaking of Duke football, our Blue Devils broke a nine year drought against UNC 34-31 in 2012 in sold out Wallace Wade Stadium. The schools have met 6 times since then. Who owns the most wins, and what is the count of wins for both over those 6 years? OFC

Do you mean 2013?

One of the questions ask recently was about the year of the pitcher in MLB. There were a lot of pitchers that had some amazing stats that year. The W.S that year was between the Tigers and the Cards. Bob Gibson of the Cards and Denny McClain of the Tigers had years that will always be remembered especially if you followed baseball like myself. I remember how both had dominated the regular season. The question is who was the MVP of the 1968 W.S. ? OFC

Who was the first player to ever hit in a major league game for Tampa Bay? Who was his teammate at 3rd base?

I'm out. I can't remember any Tampa players their 1st year. What was their 1st year anyway? OFC

Was the third baseman Wade Boggs? I know he played a year or two for Tampa Bay.

I'm not sure of the hitter so I'll take a guess....Carl Crawford or Dave Martinez?

You are up with 1 out 2 right.
Quinton McCracken from Duke was first batter ever for the Rays. I believe he grounded out.

It was Eddie Gaedal that got the 1st hit. The infield was all playing at bunt depth and he hit a worm burner by the 3rd baseman. It rolled a stop just past 3rd base. The leftfielder picked up the ball and just missed getting Eddie by a half step. The pitcher was pissed off of course and picked poor Eddie off at 1st base. The Ray's released Eddie the next day and he still holds the major league on base percentage record at 1.000. OK I gave it a shot. OFC

So, not trying to take anyone’s spot. This question is just a for fun question bc I learned it today while touring Arlington National Cemetery. If you get this right you only earn arbitrary internet points of knowledge. You don’t get to ask another question.

Who is the only boxer buried at Arlington National Cemetery?
