I have no love for insurance companies or the people who get rich off other people's suffering. That doesn't mean that I support someone's decision to murder them. I do, however, understand the desire to if you were someone directly affected by their wrongdoing. I would have rather seen that man held accountable by the law and have his actions be exposed without the privilege of being a victim. I must say, I know the left doesn't believe in slippery slopes. But there is a laundry list of reasons to support the killers and justify their actions if we want to blame the victims. There's a difference between being innocent according to the law and being an innocent victim of murder.I didn't think my response was particularly angry or offended. And calling the only regular liberal a control freak when he wades into this conservative hootenanny is pretty ridiculous.
I don't know anything about the drones. I hadn't heard about it at all until I saw it mentioned here.
If we value different things, we're going to choose different heroes.
The late Brian Thompson was being sued for insider trading and drew strong criticism for instituting policies to deny health insurance claims for the sake of shareholders. He cared more about shareholders than he did about the health of the people who used his company for coverage. That's what's called "soft violence." Look it up. Someone needs a life-saving medical procedure and you deny it, you're essentially killing them. Politicians and corporations commit violence all the time with the stroke of a pen. Hardly an innocent.
