If you want to tax them more, then this number will be drastically reduced, therefore hurting the very people you wish to help...beware of unintended consequences. Corporations give 20% of total charitable contributions in the US...thats around $80B a year....raising corporate taxes would also impact their philanthropy....again, tread carefully.

None of them are lol. Bezos’s rich parents and their connections got Amazon kickstarted. The Walton’s inherited from their dad, Musk from his, Arnault’s father owned a real estate company, and Ballmer was lucky enough to get hired on by Gates early on at Microsoft and owned like 10% of the company and was able to sell his shares for almost a billion.
All of the richest people in the world come from rich families. But truthfully no one is self made. Everyone needs help to climb further up the ladder and there’s nothing wrong with that.
I’ve worked full time since the month I left home and still don’t have much to show for it. Hopefully I can start to change that when I go back to get my degree soon but y’all need to understand that it’s ****ing hard out here and that hard work in no way guarantees success.
