Ladies and Gentlemen-
As we all know a few years ago we lost the Lounge and football boards due to a variety of circumstances. Because of that you all have no place to discuss our gridiron devils and all other fascinating topics. A few of which, we have been asked by the owners of this site to curtail.
But it’s 2020. It’s an election year. It’s a pandemic and everyone is hot with emotion. So here’s what we’re going to do. Much like we have a pinned football thread at the top. I’m going to pin this puppy at the top soon.
Here you will have the freedom to discuss whatever you’d like. Politics, religion, call each other names, accuse the other party of hating America and the list goes on.
All threads that are created that start going down that path will be moved over here. Otherwise, I’d ask you to simply begin discussions in this thread and let the conversations take whatever course they do.

Nah, you guys go nuts. Obviously no profanity etc. and try and keep the personal attacks to a minimum, but the reality is, we can’t avoid these threads. We’ve asked for it to be stopped more times than i can count but it’s 2020.
Now they need to have like a donation/lottery type deal for one poster a year to go to the turd@Duke game. If everybody chipped in a few dollars it would make somebody’s day...*LIFE. Ain’t no boards got nothing like that. We'd be the king on the hill... of message boards too

But I suspect he isn’t in any sort of position where he helps people... he feels a lot more like an administrator/money oriented type.
A follow up... does he think anyone actually clicks his dumb videos? And does he think that someone he is “burning” people with them? Like... that anyone cares about them?

I’m embarrassed for him at this point.
I mean that genuinely. I can’t imagine being in the state he is in, as an adult, posting the silliness he posts. Like... going back and forth in some meaningful way, okay... but tags and silly videos that nobody he tags bothers to watch? He cannot possibly think anyone is “burned” by it, right?

Adolph Rupp has been branded a racist for years now. People think of him as the person who only offered a scholarship to African-Americans after he lost the NCAA title to Texas Western. The film about that game did not do him any favors. When I saw the tweet that students at Kentucky were asking that the arena's name be changed, I thought that a name change was in order. But, then I did a bit of research and found that Rupp has been given a bit of a bad rap and that his history is more complicated. This could be a teachable moment at a school like Kentucky about the complications in assessing human beings and their history of good/bad acts. As this is a University, the faculty there should be able to hold such a discussion with the students. Much more productive than making fun of the students for asking for the name change or criticizing the push to remove statutes of Civil War generals.

Questioning names and the like is perfectly acceptable... you just need to be reasonable with what you change, and what you shrug and say "Hm, that's okay" about.

The guy tried to do the same thing on the national board and essentially got run off. He won't engage anyone with a different opinion than his own. He'll occasionally come by now and post something about Trump that is fed to him straight out of the NYT, which he takes as gospel, and rants about Trump which pretty much just comes off as ORANGE MAN BAD! And when he does get challenged about his fake news that he posts or incorrect/misleading posts, he fails to come back and address.

First of all, Dude was responding to the ridiculous attacks that Fourteen44 was posting and his comments were spot on. Days after any discussions between us and Fourteen44 were over, he continued to post links to blogs or videos that he intended to annoy those of us with different views. He deserved to be called out. Since Fourteen44 was also attacking me, I feel like I can weigh in. You don't like what you perceive to be uncalled for attacks on Fourteen44, but then feel completely justified in yours, unless of course, calling Dude a "smug, extreme liberal who exudes the definition fo liberal elitist attitude" is a term of endearment. if you could please define "extreme liberal," I would appreciate.
