But you’ve failed to answer my question. Who do you give the ball to in the last minute to initiate some offense? Proctor ? Maybe but he wasn’t exactly attacking . Sion? They were on those two in the last minute . They knew we would run through Flag or Kon or should I say we would have to run plays through them .
To have the talent we have but look like our O consists of playground pickup ball is very distressing. Related to that, I think Foster is going to see more bench time. But even with him out, we still looked like we had just met each other during warmups. As Shey says, not capitalizing with Dickinson out cost us dearly. The so-called biggest team in the country couldn’t take advantage of that?
Foster looks like someone that should be playing at East Carolina not Duke. He gives NOTHING on the court, he can’t even hit fts. Our backcourt is a mess, shame coach can’t find minutes for evans/harris whose probably figuring out where they’ll be next year

Or why is Roach at Baylor? I am ignorant to that whole situation but if someone would be so kind as to fill me in because he gave the impression he wanted to stay at Duke. If that is true, I can’t think of one good reason why that didn’t happen, not money, not fit. Nothing because lord knows he is the missing piece to this team. Would have been nice to have a grown grad and junior (Proctor) in the backcourt.
Agree. It definitely messes with the players psyche. You sit and you try to believe you're doing everything right and be patient and learning. But then on the other hand, you're thinking I can do just as good as the other guy. You don't want to feel that you're just going to play in "trash time" when we're up 20. It's a balance that I don't think many players can handle especially nowadays the way the transfer portal is.

I agree K's coaching left a lot to be desired after the 2015 title. However, he still was good for a couple out of timeout baskets a game. The Zion year he drew up the Reddish 3 game winner at FSU with 1 second left, I have ZERO faith that Jon could draw up a buzzer beater at the moment, heck Jon is 0 for 5 with plenty of time left on the clock. We also NEVER turned the ball over at end of game situations with K, right now we aren't even getting shots up.
This is the department Jon is behind on. I like Cooper, and I understand to a point they hype he gets. But as a Duke fan, I almost get tired of hearing how good he is. Heard the announcers mentioning that Jon told Cooper this is why you chose Duke. Isn’t that why most of them come to Duke?
I think you could be onto something with that starting lineup against Auburn. I do think Coopers natural position is the 3 and Brown has been a big asset. I’m also super high on Mal and he certainly needs to stay in the starting five.
The problem with playing Proctor at PG is he is BY FAR our best off-the-ball shooter. I believe he is now over 60% on catch and shoot three's. I don't have the answer, but I feel it needs to be some combo of the 3. It's safe to say we don't have a true PG, but with 3 solid guards combined with Flagg and Kon, turnovers and getting into an offense shouldn't be the problem IMO.
