That was a tough one. Jon better start winning these big games soon, I am tired of having multiple losses by Christmas (it's 3 years in a row now.) The play calling down the stretch was abysmal. I understand Jon is a players coach, but run a play, everyone in the world knew we were going to ISO, it was too easy to stop.
-Kon's leash is too long. He is below average defensively and if he isn't hitting 3's than he's a liability. His playmaking was solid down the stretch until the final play though. I'm not sure last night was the game to put Evans in (very physical game) but Kon needed to sit some.
-Foster seems to have lost confidence in his shot. Even the 3 he made, you could hear the crowd/bench yelling "shoot." He needs to gain some confidence. Injuries be damned, these guys are making 6 figures, if he's on the floor that means he is good to go. A lot of guys rehabbed in the offseason, he should be 100% ready.
-Cooper: STOP SPINNING IN THE LANE.
-Brown was amazing and our MVP last night.
This team is so talented. But our 2 stars need to perform like stars at the end of the game. It's early, but Cooper/Kon are nowhere near as dominant as Zion/RJ was. This team has many more weapons though than the 2019 team, but 2019 had a 5 time champion on the sidelines.
