I just don’t know what is being drawn up In these key spots. Absolutely blew both games
JS is 0-2 for tight end games this season....a lot more over the last couple of seasons. He needs to really look to coach these better or call some play. Just freestylng with your best player is not a winning strategy.

Coach Scheyer out coach again. The Kentucky and Kansas game down to the wire with a chance to win and coach play calling let the team down again. I think this might be an issue down the line. Both were winnable games. Draw up a play.
Lol what a weird ass play by scheyer. Almost went in but an absolute joke that we get a better shot with 2 seconds left than with 45 or 12 seconds left
It was closer than I thought, and we had a chance to win. Overall, it was a good effort, but the cracks showed when we really needed a bucket at the end. Use Flagg as a decoy—everyone knows he's the focus—and JS seems paralyzed at the end of games. This is also when you need a quality PG...another gaping hole in this roster.
What do you mean? Scheyer's drawing nothing up, but Flagg's lose handle and Kon's decision making are resulting in TO's. Scheyer needs to help them, but our players aren't great half court executors
Man i HATE to do this but why couldn’t we keep Roach? We have NOBODY to put the ball in their hands in crunch time. Not yet anyway
I’ve been a defender of JS but he’s why this team has two early losses. Really disappointing ending to both games when he had to draw up a play.
Also remember that scheyer decided to not challenge an obvious hook he knew he would’ve won. That gave Kansas 2 points off free throws
Jon can’t coach in big games. Zero reason the ball should have been in Flagg’s hands near the end. Turnover that led to points essentially losing the game…again. Tyrese or Foster should have the ball at the end. Whatever. Not even mad. More to life than sports.
I have zero confidence in end games anymore. No go-to PG and being a poor half court team sinks us every time. End games are all half court but JS seems to have zero clue on how to get a good shot in these situations. Reminds me of the Zion team when he should have had the last shot but we let RJ shoot and miss every time
Who would you give the ball to? What would you draw up ? Please tell me ? These are freshman mistakes and over driving into traffic .
I’m trying to figure out who you all give the ball to? Proctor ? Sion ? Foster was barely in . So give it to Brown or Mal ? It’s the fifth game . I thought the play with 3 seconds left were good plays the ball simply didn’t fall.
Least we’re not the number 2 teams who got beat by two unranked teams . I mean come on .
It seems like we either win big games by double digits or we lose. This goes back a few years. It's playing with fire to be honest. Lots of season left, but some iffy endings to games. We will be good but we need to learn how to win close games. It's hard with 2 freshman leading us. Maybe they figure it out by March.
It's either we win by 10 or lose a close one. I told my friend that as soon as it went to the last minute we were in trouble because of the coaching
Flagg just doesn't have the handle of an Ingram or Tatum where we can give him the ball and let him cook. He needs help to get to specific spots. Kon is a good passer but his lack of shiftiness means easy to bully him on the perimeter.
The way Proctor was stroking it, I would have wanted to see him set up for a shot right in front of the Duke bench.
Kon going 0-8 from 3 is bad, but we also missed at least 4 free throws when it would have either tied or given us the lead. Whereas Kansas only missed one free throw the entire game. They also have a really good point guard. We don’t.

I actually have a more positive outlook on it than others, these guys were really knocked back physically early and were down as much as, 13? iirc? Like the Craigslist level analysts like to remind us all, the Kansas players are senior citizens in College Basketball. (Not to mention Self was NIL before it was cool babyyyyyy!) Duke never folded and its games like this that will make them better. The Duke kids were not smiling as they walked off, ie they wanted it badly. Let Kansas use up their 9 lives before February even gets here.
Kon is 1-16 from 3 in the two losses. Though I thought he played much better overall tonight than in the loss to the Toothless Wonders. Coop, please stop with the spin moves. And I actually liked the initial design by Jon for that play at the end. Hell, Kon's three rolled out, so it almost worked. Anyway, poor execution by the players on the floor. It's a trial by fire for this group. I think this pays dividends in March/April.
Too many points are being left at the free throw line. Thats got to get better. You get shocked when a player goes 2-2.
