Hell, anyone can say that, but the ironic part is that is what they've said about Duke teams since the beginning of the 3 point era...live by the 3, die by the 3! UNC is good, but some luck is involved in the NCAA's also, and they've had their share of luck in those 2 championships. It's about damn time that horseshoe falls out. I like that it doesn't compute with them that maybe our defense was the reason for their poor shooting. A good example was Tre at the end of the game.
I always found Steat's moniker of Lyin Zion puzzling. What did Zion lie about? Was it just because it sort of rhymes? Another in a constant stream of things that perplex me.

There was a lot of misdirection and buzz about where Zion was headed. Most thought it was either Clemson or us. Even Clint was caught totally off guard when he picked duke. So that’s why steat uses that dumb nickname.
Misdirection isn’t the same thing as lying and it’s not unheard of in CBB recruiting.
Trust me....I know Steat's bit. He's kind of the patriarch of idiocy at THR. He was doing his thing long before many of those clowns like gary, flatarheel, chapelheeled and others came along.
Thanks for the explanation. That was a head scratcher. I don't know how much misdirection was used, but I was stunned when he announced for Duke. I was watching the war on the I-4 corridor (UCF vs. USF) game with my cousins and they had a halftime preview showing where Zion had committed to Duke. All my cousins were like you said he was going to Clemson. I said no, I said the experts were picking Clemson. I'm no recruiting guru, that's for sure.
