Favorite THR Quotes....

He'd still have the same number of UNC fans there to hear his senior speech.

You still have that pic @OldasdirtDevil?

DJ, is that the pic where Dexter is looking out over his feet (while he is lying on the floor)...and you can see all the empty seats?
I looked and looked for it on my photobucket account, and on my hard drive...couldn't find it. I had a hard drive failure a few years back, and I may have 'lost' it then, along with some other pictures. 90+ percent of the stuff that I photoshop I keep on my photobucket account...but other pics I sometimes take off there.

Maybe someone else has it. Skee may have it as he has a ton of pics.
Anyway, I'm not a Strickland fan, but I felt bad for him on that night with the way he was treated.

Several at THR claiming that Roy played big Luke Maye so much because, as everyone knows, he tinkers with lineups and substitutions early in the season for the good of a championship run in March. Pretty much insinuating that ole Roy didn't care about winning some darn non conference road game in November and pretty much sacrificed the Indiana game for the greater good. Lollll. They sure are a special bunch over there.

That's the one. I was just curious....no big deal.

that berry is out for the two games this week. Brilliant move on the part of hof coach roy williams in the way of giving berry a rest in two games they should win. Another brilliant innovation by hof coach roy williams by giving the most important player a rest . Look for other top notch teams to follow suit and rest these stars when you have the depth to do it. Wouldn't be surprised to see him give big luke maye a well deserved rest or some time on the bench. Brilliant, just daggum brilliant. OFC

Its not like anything has happened over the last couple decades that says otherwise.

Yep, turning in that one paper for the semester really starts to grind on the Carolina players during exam week. There really ought to be some kind of policy enforced at UNC that limits the amount of time these athletes spend on that single paper. I'd hate for that level of stress to effect their performance on the court.

DSouthr says in the Davidson thread...
We see players missing practice because of exams, yes our players take their own exams.

TarHeelNation11 trying to get cute about how Duke never plays away games. Lol. Um, this is a little tournament taking place in Madison Square Garden, dummy.

"Duke vs. Florida (the latter said with the accent of Aunt Bethany in Christmas Vacation).

Who do y'all like in this one? Also, I saw this matchup was taking place and I foolishly thought it was going to be in Gainesville. Lol..............wow, what a dumb thought by me. Of course it isn't in Gainesville. That would actually be a hostile environment (and a really darn good matchup for TV IMO) for Duke and we can't have that!

Sorry for the stream of consciousness poast. Any chance the Gators feast tonight? BTW, I'd love for us to play at Florida. That's a cool environment, or at least it appears pretty cool on TV."

Dean > Rat as a human being (cant argue with stats, it isn't even close)"

Awww, not sure which moron it is from over there now but how ridiculous is that??? So many nut jobs over there. They all think K is some horrible, despicable human and they actually have no idea. Sad people.

TarHeelNation11 trying to comfort himself like a hug from mommy. Hey, 11, Duke isn't even close to what they will be by the time they play the Holes....and he knows it.

"This is my first time watching Duke this season. They look very beatable."

keysersosay with a couple. So, for some reason, Frank is "doosh"? Lol.

"I watched some of the game first half mostly

UK East is highly vulnerable if and when this Jackson doosh gets into foul trouble .They really have NO backup with that jones guy plying PG.I would relentlessly attack them at the PG position get Jackson into foul trouble and attack their guards Tatum is really good will be in the NBA next season."

"forgot to mention that this was ANOTHER of the "road games" that UK east is notorious for. Always dealing from a stacked deck that Vader."

Sorry the Jimmy V Classic takes place at MSG, key. Yet another THR legend. Lol.

ajklum:
"Dook has constantly had SG step in and be serviceable at the PG position. The best player on the floor is Luke K. I thought he was the most dangerous last year as well, but didnt have the green light like G Trip has. The first time I saw Tatum drop step and power through the bigger defender for an easy layup I had a picture in my mind of Meeks face getting pushed in a pillow as he starts nibbling on it. Too fast for Meeks, Too strong for hicks or Justin. He creates a huge matchup problem for us. With Luke scoring at will and no answer for Tatum, we will have to hope for an insane game from our offensive duo of Berry and Jackson to stay in the game. Jackson attacking the basket and getting the 7ft fraggle Amile (okay he is 6'9") in foul trouble. BTW could a player have any weirder eyes than Amile Jefferson. I feel like handing my wallet to the TV every time I see him."

Maybe someone should tell him that this game is part of the Jimmy V classic which raises a boatload of money for cancer research. That's a little more important than playing a Dec. 6th game in Gainesville, Fl. I think all parties involved would agree.

"I've watched them plenty. He can shoot. His handles are so-so at best. He turns his back to defenders because he can't drive by them.

As others have mentioned, he pushes off to get open. He can't guard a dump truck.

He sure doesn't deserve a mention for the short list of POY candidates.

Oh but I forgot. No bias at ESPN. No bias with their Dukie announcers."

"If he is an all american then UK has 3 first team all american guards as he isn't as good as any of our 3. He can shoot better then Fox or Briscoe obviously but that is one portion of the game and the only portion he is good at. He can't even get open without fouling literally every single time with his damn push off which is his go to move. And as discussed like all Duke players not named Jones and Jefferson he is awful on D."

3 all american guards? Okay, and argument can be made for Fox and Monk. Moreso Monk than Fox, but I am okay with those two being compared to Luke. However, in nobodies wildest dreams is Briscoe worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence, in comparison, to Kennard. Seems pretty silly to even comapre. Alas, that is what this thread is about.

"Kennard is Duke to a t (super douchey, flopper, dirty player, etc.), but to disregard him in the conversation for NPOY is just silly. The guy is putting up crazy numbers right now. Of course, this can all change, and will change, if he stops putting up over 20/game. There's not one team in america who wouldn't love to have him on their team, and there's very few teams (if any) where he would not start...even UK.

With that said, duck fuke and their douchey players and fans."

"Kinda like Grayson Allen scored a ton points a game last year but looked like a bitch against UK's athletic guards last year? No thanks. IF we play Duke this year, he won't do crap. He will be abused."

48 irishcat1965, Yesterday at 10:30 PM

They always fall back on this. Yeah, Grayson played against no other athletic guards all last season.

Roy has a long history of being extremely cautious with any injury.

Get better and soon, Mr. Berry.
Yep, he normally errs on the side of caution. I say sit him till he's healthy, UK game be damned.

And thr has the nerve to be critical of Coach K holding our injured players out for selfish reasons then turning to the other side of their mouths saying Coach K rushes injured players back for the same selfish reason. Hypocrites? OFC
