Duke is only actively recruiting Dickinson and Mark Williams from the class of 2020. Dickinson made his OV last week, Williams has his scheduled for this weekend.
Perhaps Williams would commit before his OV. But I suspect he will wait.
Just speculation on my part.
Sounds like we are getting Mark Williams. I dunno about Dickinson thoughWe badly need one of them going forward. Go Devils.

If I had to choose, I'd prefer Williams over Dickinson. And I also think we will end up with Williams, so all is good here.
Possibly a grad transfer. Grad transfers most of the time look for a program who is usually a contender to play their final year of college.Agreed, it would just be nice to have some depth at the 5 spot. After Dickinson, not sure who else is out there to recruit as a back up to Williams. Perhaps there is a kid that can reclass.

I like that idea and would welcome a big man grad transfer. Has Duke had a grad transfer under Coach K? I know we looked at Tarik Black several years ago but don't remember anyone else.
I can’t think of any grad transfers at Duke, but Duke had Curry, Mcleod, and Hood that transferred into our program, but they weren’t grad transfers.I like that idea and would welcome a big man grad transfer. I'd love a grad transfer for the 2020 class, even with Mark Williams, we will be short a big. I'm just not sure it will be something K will consider.
Take last years roster for example, it was obvious the spring prior that we desperately needed a shooter and some experience, and K never kicked the tires on anyone.
He did on that one grad transfer that ended up going to Villanova but i don’t think he went that hard after him. Can’t remember the guys name.I'd love a grad transfer for the 2020 class, even with Mark Williams, we will be short a big. I'm just not sure it will be something K will consider.

Joe Cremo. I REALLY wanted him.He did on that one grad transfer that ended up going to Villanova but i don’t think he went that hard after him. Can’t remember the guys name.
Is John Riek a grad?Possibly a grad transfer. Grad transfers most of the time look for a program who is usually a contender to play their final year of college.
I hear Riek has 1 yr left, and Roy turned him down.
Duke has kicked the tires on some grad-student transfers. But Black was the only one that got as far as a formal offer and official visit. A good many potential grad-student transfers wanted to start, while Duke needed them to come off the bench.
I think the odds are pretty good that Duke gets Williams. But I don't think it will happen until after his visit this weekend.
Is John Riek a grad?

Rapolas Ivanauskas of Colgate would be the perfect grad transfer (6'10 230). Dude was the Patriot League Conference POY. Averaged 16 points, 8 boards, and he shot 43% from 3. Started his career at Northwestern, but was plagued with injuries (4-star recruit out of high school). Colgate is a really good team - so it's possible he just wants to be the man and lead his team to the tourney. If this guy becomes available, Duke should go after him.
Would be nice but honestly we might be close to a full 13 scholarships next year as isRapolas Ivanauskas of Colgate would be the perfect grad transfer (6'10 230). Completely agree. Although, if both Williams and Dickinson pick Duke, I doubt K goes after this guy.

I just feel like out of Moore, Stanley, Tre, Vernon, and Hurt we’ll get at least 2 back maybe even 3. And i think one of those will be tre. He just doesn’t seem like he’s improved his shooting and it’s such a need in the nba.Agreed. He wouldn't go after any grad transfers if we're able to snag both recruits. However, I'd say the odds are we won't get Dickinson.
I wouldn't say that. Odds are we'll have 3 open scholarships without the addition of any grad transfer. And with only 3 available bigs (Brakefield, Coleman, and probably Williams), we could really use another body.
Sr (2): O'Connell, Goldwire
Jr (1): Baker
So (1): Stanley?
Fr (6): Johnson, Roach, Steward, Williams, Brakefield, Coleman
Also, Northwestern is a very similar academic institution. I think he would be a great fit. A big that can score, rebound, and shoot. Sign me up. He graduated high school in 2016; he's played 2 years of college basketball. So yes, I think he'll be an eligible grad transfer for 2020-2021.
