Nice Blend of Talent and Experience

It seems this team has a nice balance that we were all looking for. Moore our junior leader, Roach and Williams the sophomore PG and rim protector. Roach's recent improvement has us looking more like a team; our great teams have always had strong play from that position. Theo has been a big help to us in the tournament and our freshman are playing at a high level. It was frustrating to watch us come up short every year so this feels like a validation of what Duke has been trying to do. This team had it all on paper but we appeared to be fading before the tournament a bit. This run has been a lot of fun to watch; maybe we were overdue for some luck. No matter what happens next weekend we have finally broken through.

Can’t argue with what you said Chris, but I would say maybe the most important part for success in March, is toughness. This team has it. It’s one thing to be big, or be quick, but toughness puts it to the next level.
Each team in the elite 8 has it. Villanova is a prime example of it. They aren’t the biggest, and they aren’t the fastest, but Wright’s team is full of physical kids.
