Pretty much anything with a ball except golf. Other things in this realm...say crossfit

Good with kids

Good at trivia

I’m really good at running a track hoe and skid steer.

I’m a good dad, and husband.

I use to be good at basketball, but years of abuse to my body from commercial fishing and construction have done a number on my joints. So it’s hurts to run and jump.

High fives...well I was....I'm afraid now I will never get to use it again. Have tried practicing but that led to the replacement of a bathroom mirror.

Pranks. My poor wife gets the brunt of them.

Bags (cornhole) and pop-a-shot.

the golf games at Top Golf.

Bowling. As an office we go once a month at lunch. It’s usually me or one other guy that gets the high score.

I’m a fly fisherman for the past 48 years and a very capable guide and instructor

I also play pickleball at the 4.0-4.5 level and teach both private and group pickleball lessons.

And of course a devoted husband and father.

haha were you really? And of course I dont drink! Haha
Yes, a joke of sorts. One of ushers, a friend of mine, came up behind us one morning , in church , and said "father request that you dont sing out loud anymore". Has become a big joke since my wife sings in the choir. And , he is right , I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, As the saying goes. Oh, and I do drink.

I’m pretty good at Texas Hold’em. I played in a just for fun Texas Hold’em poker league from 2006 to 2010 where you got points based on where you finished in the poker league’s tournaments and I had the most points at the end of the season at my local bar two different times. I was also in the top 20-25 in points in the league when it ended in 2010. Also when I used to play Texas Hold’em cash games with friends I usually would at least double or triple my money by the end of the night most of the time.

There was a sports bar that I used to go to years ago that had karaoke on Friday nights and there was one guy that would sing several times every Friday night and when I got to the bar if I could hear him singing as soon as I got out of the car I would sit out in the parking lot until he was finished singing. He was so bad that the owner eventually told him that he couldn’t sing karaoke anymore because a lot of customers had said that they weren’t going to come to the bar on Friday night if that guy was going to be there singing karaoke. lol

That's awesome man! I've been playing for about 15 years now. Had a few friends who went to Vegas and begged me to go. I declined, they came back after a year out there. It's brutal and hard to establish yourself as a legit player out there. I tend to enjoy small games with mostly people I know. Usually no one gets to out of line. Though I did play with a guy a couple of years ago who I thought was going to beat me up over $200. We both had a flush draw heads up. He hit his on the turn, and then I hit mine on the river. I went all in. He was taking too long to call and I called clock on him. He called, I won and then he flipped out. Called me every name you could think of but my given Christian name. Scared the crap out of me, haha

I’ve been playing Texas Hold’em on and off for about 25 years but these days I mostly play for fun on Facebook or an app I downloaded but neither of those are actually regular Texas Hold’em. They’re actually the same game but one is Facebook’s version and the other is the downloadable app version and it’s called Six-Plus Hold’em.

Irritating unc cheater u fans by constantly reminding them all their athletic programs are cheaters, constantly making fun of guru gary -7, constantly making fun of hof coach roy williams, constantly reminding them of their idiot players like pj hairston, constantly reminding them of the crap hanstravelfopsandgetsfouledalotbutneverfouls and constantly reminding them of what a bunch of whiney crybabies there are when they lose blaming it on the officiating. I like to think I’m somewhat rational, but I know I’m strong headed, too.

I know more than you about Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Cheers and The Office.

I’m a loyal friend.

My two daughters inspire me to be a great dad every day....so I hope I’m doing good there. They challenge me, but I thrive on the challenge.

I think I’m a good husband and my wife would agree....but that doesn’t mean I don’t deserve being backhanded sometimes. She holds it all together for our family.

I guess I’m good at golf (6.8 handicap), but I can still be a chop with the best of them. I’m also good at my job and have been blessed to provide for my family beyond anything I ever thought possible.

I used to be good at talking @pisgah101 down from a ledge. It’s more of a challenge these days, though.

I’m really good with people, and can get along with a broad range of folks. I have a great sense of humor and am witty. Consider myself fairly intelligent, yet not highly educated. I’m not a bad golfer, but I don’t play much lately, and I love coaching baseball, and been told I’m good at it.
I have, and am in the middle of a very nasty divorce. What I’ve realized in the last couple years though, is I wasn’t nearly as smart as I thought I was. I’ve learned more from the age of 43 to now (46), than I did the first 43 years.

I think I’m a better poster on this board than I was a year or so ago. I love Duke as much as the next guy, but I’ve also learned that there’s much more important things than college basketball. I’ve been humbled a lot.

This is something I struggle with!! When we say we are good at something, it’s jsut not enough for me!!
A lot of hobbies I’ve had or have:

1. Golf- I don’t tnink I suck at it. My average round is mid 80’s, not terrible, but too many of my golf buddies are better.
2. Archery- I used to shoot competitive archery. I finished 2nd in the 2008 KY state 3-D championship, but could still show up to a local shoot and not place
3. Fishing- used to fish a lot of bass tournaments. I won many, but I also had plenty where I didn’t weight a fish at all.
4. Pool- used to shoot a lot of pool tournaments. Won or placed in a lot of them, it still had many where I was one of the first ones out.

I always wanted one thing that before the event started, everyone was hoping I wouldn’t show up. But alas, I don’t think I put the fear of god in anyone at any of those hobbies!!

Guess I’m just too damn competitive !!
