The New Lounge

You're repeating what I said and pretending you got me.

"It fits the liberal narrative of how sexist conservatives are really easily..." (ie, I am acknowledging there is a liberal narrative about right-wing sexism) "...for y'all to go after the woman as if she's Lady Macbeth..." (ie, not simply because you are "critical" of a woman, but because you go after her in a very specific and extreme way) "...as opposed to someone who is just as much in denial as the President himself." (ie, there's a more compassionate and understandable way of looking at it that you'd be entirely on board extending to someone else if and only if they were on your side.)

As for owning the narrative, look at what anyone offered for why they targeted Jill Biden: claiming it's obvious and common sense w/o any actual evidence. I had to provide that for them. Or all your "typical lib" drivel. It's contributes to an extremist narrative that all liberals think alike. You're such a hypocrite. When are you ever going to develop a shred of self-awareness, self-reflection, and humbleness?
I don’t give a sh!t if it was Biden’s husband (male). Any spouse that would do what Jill Biden is doing to her husband is wrong. I don’t know why you think we are sexist saying this. As Mac said, Liberals are always pushing some type of card (race, sexist, homophobic, you name it).

When I say typical liberal, I don't mean anyone who votes democrat or doesn't share the same views as me. I am specifically taking about the typical liberal who spews the same nonsense from the playbook. And you guys might not naturally all think alike, but you all toe the same line which is no better.
Check the plank in your own eye! Lol

You, specifically, love to distance yourself from President Trump’s personal behavior, but justify supporting him based on policy. That’s toeing the line, too. You support a disgusting person because he does what you like politically. The entire GOP does that for him.

I wish President Biden would step aside, but I prefer the people pulling his strings over the people pulling President Trump’s.

It’s all very well and good to double back and claim you aren’t racist/sexist/homophobic after the fact. Why don’t y’all ever actually demonstrate it upfront?

Wrt Dr. Biden, the specific vitriol directed at her has an edge that is reserved for women: Hillary, Michelle O, AOC & the Sunshine Band, Harris, and on and on. They get criticized for their appearance (Mac is especially bad for that), their “shrillness,” their mannerisms, not being feminine enough for you, not being as authoritative as men for you, etc.

I’ll grant that you don’t want to be racist/sexist (some of you are unrepentantly anti-LGBTQ+ and proud of it). Nobody wants to be. But people are despite that and despite how much they deny it.

No sir. I don't support Trump just because I find his policies to be better for our country than what we are seeing now. There are things that he says that I support. But if we're honest, what he says and what he believes don't always seem to align. There isn't a single politician that I support. I think they are all garbage people, left and right. Your idea of support may be that because I am against one, I support the other. That isn't a winnable argument, so just say I support Trump.

We've been over this throughout the years, but here is where I still stand on things I consider important issues to vote on.

- Secure border with merit based immigration.

- A fair or flat tax based on the money we spend and what we spend it on. Not based on our worth.

- Investing and taking advantage of our own natural resources including oil and natural gas.

- Lowering taxes and crippling regulations that will keep businesses operating inside of America and hiring American and American immigrant employees.

- Having a strong and deterring military for the purpose of peace through strength.

- A government that will cut back on wasteful spending before ever passing bills that take more money from our citizens to make up for that wasteful spending.

- An education system focused on curriculum that puts our youth in position to learn something that they can use to put themselves in the best possible position to succeed and be self reliant. Not political nonsense meant to divide us from an early age on.

I respect the fact that there isn't a candidate or a party that can or will deliver everything that I would like to see. But I definitely see more potential on one side than the other. If that means you call me a Trump supporter, oh well. Better than supporting the current state.

AOC and the sunshine band is way better than their current Squad nickname...they should adopt that!

This is an example of you having no clue what you're talking about. What I have against these women you mentioned has nothing at all to do with them being women. It's simply that that are awful human beings, and what they stand for goes against everything I do.

You use any criticism directed at either women or minorities as a tool. You pay no attention to why we may not like them, instead changing the narrative to muddy the waters. It's a clever tactic, one used by our own media. When you can't win on the issues, beat your opponents character.

I know I will raise a ruckus, but I am sorry/not sorry. I have had it up to here with the term "white privilege." I see so much greater and needed equality now. I dont see one race superior to the other, which is obviously a good thing.

One example I would use to underscore this point is the NBA/WNBA. Lebron James seems to call many of the shots in the NBA. Comissioner Adam Silver seems to defer to James. Also in the WNBA,Dawn Staley(a known Caitlin Clark hater), was instrumental in keeping Clark off the Olympic team.

Are Lebron,Staley exercising their "Black Privilege?"

When did you ever accept it and acknowledge it? Because I’ve had it up to here with having to explain it to people.

I know people call him a grifter and believe he is only playing to an audience. But officer Tatum said it best. "White privilege is a false ideology created to cultivate victimhood and spread hate." Something like that. I now believe the best way to end the conversation about whether white privilege is real is to just ignore the woke trash who perpetuate it.

White privilege is a well-established and researched fact. You can’t even define it because you’re too busy going into snowflake mode, clutching your pearls about how you worked hard, too.

Of all the issues in our country, worrying about who's woke or not woke, white privilege.... just aren't at the top of my list of concerns. What is though is an evil government pawning off an inept puppet as our President, inflation, border security (which is causing so many problems like trafficking of children, drugs, terrorists concerns), sending $$$ to corrupt countries...

It shows the lack of intelligence by liberals for refusing to talk about the issues that really affect Americans. Or they are just as evil as our leaders.

A well established and researched fact. Yeah. Sure. And men can menstruate. Forgive me for not going along with the people who established and researched your facts.

You posted something a few days ago that explains why they don't talk about these things. They don't see it where they get their trusted news from. So everything you are concerned about are just wild conspiracies.

Project 2025, though. They've heard all about that. Even though most right leaning people haven't.

Highly recommend reading Michael Crichtons State of Fear...it explains how there must be something to be feared so the Govt can protect us from it or we will become uncontrollable....today its Project 2025 - and they are using it to put fear in people so they can control the vote..yet few have heard of it...its a complete strawman. Sad really.

So, it’s not a complete straw man. A minimum of 140 people from the Trump administration were involved in Project 2025. That’s uh, a not insignificant number. Also, Trump said he had no idea what it was and in the same breath said he didn’t agree with it and called it abysmal, then wished them luck with it.

He obviously knows what it is, even if he doesn’t necessarily intend to implement it as a whole. However, on his campaign page you can view Agenda 47, which is his official policy plan.

This agenda has plans to eliminate the Department of Education, deregulating businesses and rolling back environmental protections, restrict access to safe abortions AND contraceptives, reissue Schedule F which will make federal employees at-will, consolidate power to the executive branch, defund the freaking FBI, ending birthright citizenship(that’s a violation of the Constitution) and a whole host of other ideas that just so happen to align pretty close to Project 2025.

I’m not gonna go round and round in this thread because it seems most here have their minds completely made up but yeah, it’s safe to say it’s not a straw man, it’s the plan for our country should Republicans come to win this November.

I’m not totally sure that you’ve taken the requisite time to see what his agenda is based on this post. But I read and listen to CNN every day bc I enjoy seeing the other side and how they spin things. So I heard the same drivel. Luckily I went to agenda 47 for myself for the first time. Your summation is pretty off base. So either you’re disingenuous. Lying. Or ignorant.

My bad, I should've taken the time to share links to pages that directly reference the policies I mentioned.

-Eliminating the Department of Education - https://www.donaldjtrump.com/agenda...ican-education-and-give-power-back-to-parents

"Additionally, on Day One, we will begin to find and remove the radicals, zealots, and Marxists who have infiltrated the federal Department of Education, and that also includes others, and you know who you are. Because We are not going to allow anyone to hurt our children. Joe Biden has given these lunatics unchecked power—I will have them fired and escorted from the building. And I will tell Congress that any appropriations bill I sign must reaffirm the president’s ability to remove defiant employees from the job. It’s all about our children."

So, anyone who isn't a complete Trump loyalist is going to get fired immediately, I'd say that counts as dismantling.

- Deregulating Businesses and ending environmental protections - https://www.donaldjtrump.com/agenda47/agenda47-joe-biden-has-been-a-disaster-for-the-economy

"When I'm back in the White House, I will immediately unleash energy production, slash regulations, like I did just three years ago, and repeal Biden's tax hikes to get inflation down as fast as possible, and it will go quickly, so that interest rates can get back under control.

I built the greatest economy in the history of the world. In fact, I did it twice when you think about it, and now we will have to do it again. Thank you very much."

"To keep pace with the world economy that depends on fossil fuels for more than 80% of its energy, President Trump will DRILL, BABY, DRILL.

President Trump will end Biden’s delays in federal drilling permits and leases that are needed to unleash American oil and natural gas production. "

"We will again get out of Paris. And we will rapidly issue approvals for all worthy energy infrastructure projects with a focus on maximum speed to bring prices down rapidly."

-Ending Birthright Citizenship - https://www.donaldjtrump.com/agenda...ldren-of-illegals-and-outlawing-birth-tourism

" On Day One, President Trump will sign an Executive Order to stop federal agencies from granting automatic U.S. citizenship to the children of illegal aliens."

Again, Constitutional Violation. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourteenth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution

What about the flip side? I don't know about what he has on his campaign page. But it would take votes in Congress to inact the things you are listing. So even if he has that on his agenda, it doesn't mean we need to fear it.

What is reality though, is open borders, rampant theft, rising violence and, but not limited to, an on going war against our law enforcement. It's easy to ignore reality when we keep people focused on what could be.

I am only hesitant on the children of illegal immigrants. Other than that, how is this supposed to scare anyone with a level head? Seems like it puts America first. And will promote a healthy economy.

I didn’t read everything you posted, but the part about education and energy, Trump is spot on. There needs to be a housecleaning and revamp done with our education. Liberals are destroying that.

The part where Trump needs to dial it back is his claim on having the greatest economy ever. He should just say we had a really good economy during my time. But that’s Trump being Trump.

But I can deal with his ego given the results he had. It’s a damn shame some of y’all get hung up on feelings.

How is Trump spot on in his points about education and energy? How are liberals destroying education? Republicans are outright trying to erase our history from being taught and trying to insert religion exactly where it doesn't belong, in the classroom.

I generally don't get hung on feelings, I simply want this country to be the best it can be for my family, and everyone else's and under Republican leadership that hasn't happened. It extends beyond Trump, far beyond him. That said he's openly said he plans on being a dictator day one, when someone tells me who they are I tend to take them at their word. He's also been found liable for sexual abuse and now has thirty-four felonies to his name. That is not someone who I want anywhere near the most powerful position on then planet.

Again, what about the flip side? Much worse than who you fear. And get real about it being the republicans that want to erase our history from being taught. If more people were educated about our history, it would be detrimental to the democratic party.

As far as the felonies and supposed rape liable case, those easily could be true against Biden as well. But they don't go after democrats the way they do Trump. Your morally superior potato showered with his 13 year old daughter and has dozens of videos of being very inappropriate with very young girls. As well as his ties to Hunters dealings, which would be felonies if he didn't have a D next to his name. Don't think your guy is better for our country or the lesser of two evils.

What is so wrong with Democrats that I should fear them more than I fear someone who wants to posit himself as king? Trump and his loyalists want to convince you that your fellow Americans and the people who wish to immigrate here are your enemy.

Whatever qualms I may have with the Democratic Party, I’m willing to set aside to preserve our democracy. I want to point out that it was not democrats who recently made the President completely unhindered by our laws so long he deems what he does an “official act”.

And even if democracy itself wasn’t at stake in this election, I still would not be voting Republican, because we have a preponderance of evidence that shows that our nations economy almost always runs better under Democrats than under Republicans.

As for the felonies and rape case being true for Biden as well, well, they’re not. There’s nothing to suggest he’s done anything of the sort with his kid or anyone else. Showers with their kids weren’t uncommon back then.

I think you’re attempting to be well informed. But you’ve been lied (and brainwashed) to for a long time. So anything that goes against what you see on tv can’t possibly be true.

Ask yourself why so many on the left were devastated with how bad Biden was in the debate, when anyone right of center wasn’t. Your side has been protecting him for over 4 years.

So pizza gate is a fringe Q anon type thing. Critical race theory is a real thing. You're a liar if you deny it. There are definitely socialist teachers. Never heard about litter boxes in classrooms. But with you weirdos making everything normal, wouldn't shock me. There are congressmen actively trying to introduce bills to heavily restrict gun rights. Our borders are WIDE open. And middle eastern Muslims are a threat to our civilization.

What else you got?

I missed the "TEH ghey AgEnDa". Are you really denying that too?

On que, @Dattier does what a good little liberal has been trained to do. Divert, and attack the person he opposes. All while totally avoiding the issues present at the moment.

He's probably scouring the interweb as we speak, or dialed into MSNBC to get his next wave of talking points. A clever sheep he is.

*Take out the specific reference to pizza and it’s a widespread rightwing fearmongering topic. YOU yourself have thrown jowl-wagging, pearl-clutching comments about trafficking up here.
* Critical race theory is a real, true, college-level curriculum that has nothing to do with shaming white elementary school kids.
*Public school has inherent socialist characteristics, just like public roads, libraries, and fire departments. There are teachers who identify as socialists. There is no widespread or narrow-spread threat of indoctrination. Education is supposed to expose you to and challenge you with things beyond your experiences, beliefs, and comfort.
*What was the last major gun restriction that even got a vote in either house of Congress? And it didn’t come close to the hysteria about coming for your guns.
*Our border was wide open for decades prior to 9/11/01, allowing migrant workers to return home, as well. They are NOT wide open now, and this is now at the “yuh-huh, nuh-uh point of the conversation.
*Certain extreme factions of Islam are a threat. “Middle Eastern Muslims” are not, and you are a bigot to believe otherwise.
*There is no such thing as ANY agenda unless it applies equally in either direction. There’s no straight agenda because we assume it is the default and what we’re used to. Gay people being gay is not an agenda. It’s not “in your face” or being “forced down your throat.” It’s them living their lives. Where equal rights have been denied, fighting for those rights is no more or less an agenda than oppressing them in the first place, but with far more merit.

So “what I got” is every single last one of the items on my first list, untouched, unscathed, unruffled. Conservatives live in fear just as much as liberals do. Manipulative tactics are nonpartisan.

I can assure you I am not brainwashed. Again, I focus on policies that have been implemented or they admit to planning to implement, and the results of previous administrations. And again, Trump has said he will be a dictator, and his policy plans certainly seem to be in line with someone who actually intends to follow through on that threat.

People were devastated by Biden debate performance because people have standards they hold Biden to that they do not for Trump. Trump spouted off more than 20 lies on the debate stage and all the media covers is Biden stuttering. People don’t want to lose their democracy because their guy stuttered, causing the freak out.

I will just comment on one thing in this blabber. Islam at its core is intolerant to non believers. You heard it in the streets in Ney York, Michigan and in California over these past few months. They do no assimilate. They say out loud that there will be a day where Islam is in every house and that the infidels will be executed. They are the bigots. You are not a good person and me a bad person for you denying their own beliefs. The more Islamic immigrants we let into our country, the more hate filled people like Rashida Talib and Ilhan Omar will be in representative positions. You have no problem being critical of the power Christians try to have, even though you claim to be one, but when Muslims are called out for being radical and a threat to our civilization, it's bigoted. So, eat a dick.
