Next year could be even rougher on them. After all the chest beating the holes did last year, I suspect that they will be keeping their heads down for a good while. Many of them on their boards are saying that they won't be watching the tournament now. That is a lie. They will be watching the Duke games whilst pulling as hard as their little hearts can for the opponent.
I think the 1993 UNC and Michigan guys are getting together for a pickup game in lieu of the NIT this year
I don’t entirely get this. Correct me if you disagree, but won’t a team get more out of claiming we are snubbed, get to the NIT final four (which means you were a decent team because it is not easy), and forever hang the we were snubbed then going to the NCAA and get slapped worse than Chris Rock by Will Smith.

If the NBA All-Star team was in Duke’s region they’d call it easy. It’s literally imprinted in their DNA to say that every MF year. (Never mind that the top seed has already hammered Duke once already this season.)
This. And of course, the famous ref bias for Duke and lack of true road games. It's like the sun coming up in the morning, blah blah blah. I predict that over the course of the next year they stop fixating on Duke's "advantages" so much and start worrying more about their own situation.
Depending on who's left next year's cheater u team they may not make the dance again. You know cackles is in everyone's ear to come back. If bacot, davis and love all leave and they don't make the NCAA I hope the NIT will not invite them at all. Maybe they will start their own post season tourney and invite only teams they know they can beat like Elon , UNCG , Greensboro College and Guilford. OFC
A lot of them are not happy about it on IC. I would say the majority aren't with some saying it comes off as arrogant, entitled. etc. You can't make the players play though. Someone pointed out on IC that that's what Duke did in 2021. That is not my recollection of that. My memory from that wreck of a season was the self-sabotage nature of it. To give a little recap, when K sent the players home early in December and Duke canceled 3-4 very winnable non-conference home games there was big concern that that could come back to haunt Duke because it was going to be no more than a lower top 25 Duke team if that. We had no fans in the stands either and the ACC was littered with canceled conference games that season. In the ACC Tournament Duke had started to show some life beating BC and then beating Louisville. Hell Louisville had so many canceled games they played 20 total games on the season while Duke after that win had played 24 despite canceled games themselves. A team manager or somebody came down with COVID after the game and that ended Duke's ACC Tournament participation. Someone on Virginia's team came down with it and that ended their ACC Tournament participation as well.
My recollect is Duke kind of made it clear that it was "season over" after the ACC Tournament. They were at 13-11 and 9-9 in the league race. That kind of shut down any NIT talk did it not? The NIT had half of it's normal field size with only 16 teams. So I don't think there was a Duke invite and then the school said "no thanks", I think the school shut it all down after the COVID thing in the ACC Tournament. Someone please chime in here if I have it wrong on any of this.
Back to chapel hill college, with Bacot hurt that certainly would make the decision to want to participate much weaker but if it was indeed a team vote, which I heard it was then what do you do? if some of these guys are leaving anyway (and it's even shocking when unc can't get a 5th year out of senior starters since no one ever goes pro. Hansbrough be like: "damn wish covid had given me a 5th year) then it is what it is.

I think the holes made a good decision. They were a dumpster fire this season. Hubert looked lost, and from my view, he had no control over them. Losing was bad enough, and to throw egg in their face, there was that rumor of Love sleeping with RJ’s girlfriend. The only guy that could have been worse than Caleb would have been if it had been Bacot sleeping with her.

Other than the 2010 season I can't remember a cheater u season that I enjoyed more than this one. One we Duke fans need to cherish. hof coach roy williams said it was a castastrophe comparing it to the hurricane that wiped out Haiti. What a stupid thing to say. That if I remember correctly is the year I was permantly banned from thr because of my persistant posting from here at DI. A lot of us recieved tombstones that season . Oh we won the natty and that of course was the 82-50 whipping we gave them at CIS. OFC

For those so inclined, next season will be the time to troll them. Unless they somehow pull a rabbit out of their but, they are going to resemble this year's Louisville. I anticipate Love and company moving on and their recruiting class is mediocre. I figure the desire to move on is the biggest reason their players voted against going to the NIT. (I am sure they will try the portal but there are no guarantees there either).
I think as well, a number of them are out 9. In fact two already entered the portal yesterday.
