I feel like the announcer said that GT was like 28 percent from 3 on the season. Any reason why we haven’t played any zone instead of getting beat off the dribble so much?
BIG!!! hopefully some confidence - good second half from Hurt and Johnson thankfully. Work to do but good for Steward and his first half and the battle in the second

I don’t care it’s GT.. this was a gutsy win! It wasn’t pretty the full 40 but these kids fought.. they were up big and had to bare down and close it out which they did. This is a big weight off the kids shoulders.. they heard the media, they heard the fans.. now let’s see if they start to loosen up now... stuff needs to be worked on but we got a win and now look forward to Clemson Saturday

A win is a win. No shame in Alvarado shredding us. He might be the best guard in the conference.

I am also happy for the discussion board...
Team showed grit. Maybe for the first time this year. Multiple times they built leads just to watch them disappear, but answered every time. They didn't just rely on one guy either. Between Steward, Goldwire, Hurt and Johnson, they all had moments where they took over. It doesn't mean shit unless they build on it, though. But they have something to build on.
Didn't see the game but boy oh boy did we need this. Now let's beat Clemson Saturday and start trending up!
Duke basketball freshmen send clear message to brutal fans
A couple of first-year Duke basketball players took to social media over the weekend to seemingly express frustration over an increasingly negative fanbase.
Boy, did we ever! This team showed so much toughness tonight. Proud as hell of this group.
It’s not what you call an impressive win....but it is a big win. This team just hasn’t been able to close or hit shots late. When the Parnum kid hit that ridiculous three I thought it was over. That’s how paranoid I’ve become.
Alvarado is a really nice player. The kind of kid you love on your team but could learn to hate. He just does it all. It felt good to shut him up a little, but I wish him nothing but the best going forward.
We’re 6-0 when we score 75 or more....0-5 when we don’t.
I don’t expect giant steps with this group, but baby ones will do. Tonight were baby steps. I’ll hope for more Saturday.

Mark Williams was very impressive. He gives Duke an entirely different look when he is in the game and playing well.
He surprised me. I am happy to admit being wrong about Mark. I thought he wasn't ready to play a significant role. But he had some solid minutes tonight. If he can give us 6-8 minutes of play like that moving forward it would be HUGE.
