Alex????

It is not an easy role for him or any player. It is tough to prove yourself in limited minutes. You want to do whats best for the team, but you also know that you are coming back out shortly. One thing that is critical is that he must be attentive to details. You can't have a scenario where you come in and don't know how many seconds are left on the shot clock. That just can't happen. Proving yourself in limited minutes is not trying to do too much, but also executing everything within your ability, down to the finest of details. Again not an easy role, but it's his role on this team.

This is really well said.

John Wooden's famous admonition was "be quick but don't hurry."

AOC is very effective when he's not hurrying.

But he hurries a lot.

K had some interesting comments about O'Connell after the GT game.

"He would say I’m telling the truth, but he hasn’t played well, and he hasn’t played with the verve that he has in the past. The last two days at practice you could tell he was different. When he wasn’t playing well, I thought he was into himself, like trying to figure it out instead of playing the game. Today he played. He had a big bucket, a big offensive rebound, and got two loose balls. Guys expect him to shoot, so when he missed, we rebounded at least two, maybe three, of his misses and scored. When the right guy shoots the right shot and misses, the percentages go up for you to get an offensive rebound. He was terrific. He was a big part of us winning."
