How about SCOTUS's decision just today sustaining a lower court's block on withholding $2 billion in foreign aid? Is that a good enough example?
Everything they are doing IS reckless and thoughtless. They're trying to win the news cycle. They want sensational headlines. Every Musk tweet announcing cuts is distorted propaganda.

No. Not good enough. Because I can acknowledge that they could be less reactionary, but you can't acknowledge that there is anything positive that they are doing. It's fine, we don't have to find ground here.

That's not a vision, that's rhetoric. You don't want to give Trump any credit for having an ounce of decency, so you won't allow yourself to see that he is showing how much he cares. He should be off in paradise with his family enjoying the wind down era of his life. But he cares so much about his vision for the country that he takes your ridicule and all of the "rhetoric" that you care about from the left. Even survives two legitimate attempts on his life and the failed attempts by the left to put him in prison for what would essentially be for the rest of his life if the demented fools had it their way. Whether you choose to believe him or accept that what he does is for the good of other people, not himself. He clearly shows that he cares about people.

Looking into government waste and efficient spending is a great idea. Doing it in a reckless, reactionary, partisan way isn't the right way. Musk is targeting departments that have investigated/are investigating his companies.

That's a great piece of fan-fiction in favor of your king (my President, your king). He's an egomaniac and narcissist. Everything he does is about bringing glory and attention to himself.

Robert Mueller, Merrick Garland, and Jack Smith were very by the book. I think they were too cautious. I wish they'd been more aggressive.

From Beergate to the Michael Brown hoax, Obama never met a racial scam he didn’t like.
From siccing the IRS on conservatives to the formation of BLM, his time in office would shake the public’s faith in our institutions to the core.

He held the Beer Summit to make up for off-the-cuff remarks. He encouraged faith in our courts after both the George ZImmerman acquittal and the grand jury's decision not to indict in Ferguson. Republican FBI Director James Comey found no evidence warranting charges in the IRS situation. He had nothing to do with the creation of BLM.

Is it possible that a Black person might be more attuned to racism, more troubled by racism, and more empathetic to people who feel they've been victims of racism? I remember when y'all lost your minds when he said if he'd had a son he would have looked like Trayvon Martin.

How am I to know? They recently said that less than 10% of money from federal grants actually goes towards study or treatments. So where does the rest of the money go? These people aren't living in single wide trailers and driving Pintos.

Also, turns out the majority of money comes from the private sector with these institutions.

The American Cancer Society is by far ahead of any government led institution and they receive very little government money.

So tell me again how the proposed 15% cut in federal funding equals canceling funding for child cancer research.

I asked if Trump was supposed to coddle the emotional nut jobs in order to heal division. Which I have said that way too many times today. What does heal division even mean. Anyway. I don't think it's really that hard to conclude that what you are wanting from whoever the president is for them to address feelings and express empathy. Like a therapist. When most people want a strong and forceful leader as CIC.

Where did that 10% come from? ...who is they?...and that's crazy to think 1 million given to research and only $100,000 makes it to the research...just read that childhood cancer accounts for about 4% of all federal funds, yet pediatric cancers are the leading cause of death for children and young adults under 20...i believe that 15% that you speak of is the cap that had been reduced from 27-28%...and yes some of that money goes to the facilities, equipment, maintenance, administration, and staff to do the trials and research...said to save the government $4Billion...that seems to be alot that won't be able to be done to continue focuses on childhood cancer, survivorship, and equitable care

I was referring to childhood cancer research , but yeah some of those seem odd, but the research does or has hopes to produce answers because of the research.....when do you think Doge will investigate the billions that go to musk contracts for waste, fraud , and abuse?

Such as? SpaceX govt contracts? That has saved NASA $40-50B. The waste DOGE uncovered vs the contracts won for services rendered are not remotely the same unless you use a political lens, and then logic fails with the comparison

I saw somewhere a figure that 16k federal workers have been laid off and another 75k took the buyout. Now I see there are 80k layoffs planned for the VA alone. As federal contracts with private companies are cancelled, private sector layoffs may increase that total significantly.
All this within 50 days of our President's inauguration, based entirely on the work of the world's richest man who gave huge campaign contributions to our President and has been elected to nothing himself.
Whatever tax cuts or/and surplus checks President Trump will oversee will once again benefit billionaires exponentially times more than the working class, tightening and strengthening their oligarchy.

No questions for anyone in all of this. Just documenting it.

I will try to find the video at some point today that shows Clinton/Gore and Obama/Biden suggesting something very very similar when it comes to government reduction. It wasn't triggering or upsetting when it was suggested by the top 2 democrats of the past 40 years. But it is triggering and upsetting now that a republican is actually doing it and not just talking about it.

I do think it sucks for the people who are losing their job. But what is it that Biden told the miners to do? Learn to code.

i will have to research, and if true those savings are great, could there be even more if not for waste, fraud, and abuse that is claimed to be in everything else, but not in those?....they should get the same scrutiny, as he is making a lot of money, much deserved, but there could still be issues and so much money being made to be ignored

You mean the early '90s? When the '94 Crime Bill was applauded by Black communities and the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy was considered a victory for LGBTQIAQAULO+ service members?

Quick look into this largely confirms that SpaceX has saved NASA lots of money. I do not see how that is in any way a validation of DOGE.
