The New Lounge

Your post above this one had some decent points. There are things we weren’t taught in school about history that we should have. But, so many things go too far in their attempt to correct. What we’ve done in the last few years is dangerous. As are your views. Which are taking out of the liberal playbook. Find a problem, and immediately go to blaming/condemning.

Your ignorance never disappoints, as this post I quoted shows.

What’s worse is you and crest are talking together. So now we have 2 dipshits in today’s thread.
I thought today’s discussion was much better than the old men yell at clouds stuff we generally see. Sorry to intrude into your circle jerk.

Saying what pharmacists could and could not do is a tad bit difficult since the states took it on themselves to regulate access to the drug so that the people on whom it had a demonstrable curative effect like lupus sufferers would have access to it. Some pharmacists refused on their own. I saw nothing that indicated there was a blanket limitation coming from the federal government. In fact, given that Trump had stock in drug companies that produced HCQ, I would find it hard to believe that he wanted to discourage its sale.
The lupus argument is partially valid. You certainly don’t want to run into a situation where people that need it regularly cannot fulfill their prescriptions. Much like diabetics with insulin.

However, now we are talking numbers and subjective/selective who can get one drug over another. HCQ is a generic drug at this point, it’s been around for 65 years. If it was effective, it can be mass produced if there was ever a scenario that it was necessary. Secondly, the overwhelming majority of people who get covid are not at risk. We knew then, as we do now, who’s at risk- elderly, obese, and/or people with severe co-morbidities. So, i cannot see how initially at least the concern for those who have lupus would have been threatened. And if that was a concern, you use the above protocols of who should be prioritized for the drug- old, obese, co-morbid, etc. the decision should have been with the patient And doctor. Not from fed, state, local govt or just random pharmacists who refused to do it. My next problem, is that if we were limiting who does and doesn’t get let into our hospitals that we’re overflowing with people early on, then why wouldn’t we exhaust every available treatment? HCQ used for lupus, malaria, and a handful of other reasons, was showing promise, with little to no negative reactions. We knew then when to use it, when not to. If we were having hospital capacity and we were prioritizing covid over other patients, then those other patients with other issues weren’t getting seen. Many cancer patients were not getting the treatments, diagnosis, etc early enough because of this reason. So by the same logic you used about HCQ for lupus patients, I’d use 10 fold on the hospitalization rates and who could see their doctors for other issues and couldn’t because only covid patients were being seen. It’s the same thing. Neither are right because patients are getting screwed on one end or the other.

The way it was handled was avoidable and disturbing.

I am not angry. I am resigned to the fact that we are living in some strange universe where people actually want to excuse or even protect insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol and threatened to hang the Vice-President. And Crest is a pretty smart funny guy so I am happy to have a back and forth with him.

Reactions: Crest is Garbage
I don't particularly like that they cut her mike, but I agree with Crest. These days, every time the less conservative side wants to do anything, it gets labelled socialism. Want to provide a curriculum that addresses honestly and completely the role of slavery in society, socialism. Giving people a bit more help during a pandemic. Socialism. Kneeling at a football game, socialism. It is absolutely preposterous and does not advance any meaningful discussion. I recognize that some of the progressive members of the Democrats call themselves socialists with pride, but socialism is where the workers, through the government, own the means of production. Biden has never even remotely indicated that he favored that. There is nothing about teaching slavery and racism thoroughly and honesty that leads to socialism. Taking a knee to protest not being treated as a full citizen is hardly socialism. So when I see something like this ignorant rant, I find it hard to support even her right to speak.
You deny that the CRT does not say all whites are racist and should apologize for being white. No conservative denies there was not racism in our past but conservatives put forth something like this they would be rightly be called blatant racists. This theory does recognize the tremendous strides made in the last sixty years

You literally have no understanding of what you’re talking about.

What do you consider reputable? Wait a minute while I grab my popcorn.
Dude, you’re so lost that I try not to respond to you because it’s such a waste of time. Your opinions are so bad that I used to think that you were a parody account to make the other conservative posters look stupid. You have no idea what your talking about and you do nothing but regurgitate extreme right wing propaganda. If you can’t tell the difference in a reliable source and the crap you post, no one can help you.

With Topps, I figure it’s not his fault as he’s a product of the Facebook boomer algorithm that constantly bombards older folks with trash information. With you, I’m not sure exactly what the problem is.

You comfy in your parents basement? Might want to consider moving. Has to be low in oxygen down there.
You bring nothing to the table. You have to be about 17 or 18, cause the memes you post are awful. As are your posts.
You don’t know the difference between a sneeze and a wet fart.

Easy copout post there. Got any more gateway pundit articles you want to share? 😂

Crest, you still haven’t said who you feel is reputable, as far as media goes. You can go back to your crayons as soon as you post them.

And you are a young idiot that is the poster child for the most effeminate generation that our country had ever seen
I appreciate you calling me young, it means a lot to me. Do you have a deep seeded problem with women or the way they think? I’m just trying to understand the context of your comment?

I’m sure your quite the manly man though.

I’ve been pretty clear in past on how I source information as well as how to determine if a source is reliable, etc.

We’ve also established that you don’t care about any of it. Is your memory fading you?

I would actually.
There is no way for this to be factual unless you yourself are a teacher in her district, a member of the school board in her district or some other way tied to the school system in her district or have direct knowledge of someone who does. And in that case, it would still be subjective. What you have is a lack of interests in hearing her concerns because you are apparently set in your ways. Personally, I have no reason to believe that her concerns are not for the children she teaches. I have no reason to assume she has a dumb take simply because she stands up against the radical left.

I do have to commend your efforts today. It's refreshing to see you give actual thoughts, not in the form of a TDS meme.

Has anyone here said that they excuse or want to protect the people who stormed the Capitol? This seems like something you made up.

You have no idea what I do or who I am.

To insinuate that teachers are preaching socialism and teaching kids to hate themselves is in fact a stupid take. You should broaden your horizons.

FYI, it’s important for me to grace you with my presence from time to time. I look at it as a form of charity.

Easy there, pops. I’m not running my mouth, just trying to decipher your intent when you tried to insult an entire generation by calling the feminine.

I’m sure you and your friends are scary guys though.

I didn't pretend to know what you do or who you are. Nor did I show you any disrespect for what you do or who you are. This seems a little dramatic, no? What I said was that you couldn't possibly know better than her about her personal experience. She was indeed, speaking about her personal experience. You could possibly know better than her if she was speaking from the outside on a general scale. Maybe. I don't know. She's either lying (could be) or blowing in out of proportion (could be) or spot on and speaking out. (Could be) Hopefully more teachers start speaking out. Because despite what you say, there is some bullshit being taught in our schools and there needs to be a voice to challenge it.

So do you have any evidence of the “bullshit” being taught in school? Is this mandated by the county, state, or district? Isolated incident? Or what?

Have you not heard of the letter the angry parent wrote his kids school? The private school that costs over $50,000/year, and is pushing the liberal/woke agenda on the students there. It’s one of several examples. Meghan Kelly is another. Her kids went to private schools as well. She said enough of this crap and removed her kids. The laughable example she gave was when her 5 or 6 year old was asked by the teacher to write a letter to the Cleveland Indians, speaking of the degrading name of the franchise.

You are like durhamgolfer, you don’t want to see what’s going on. She’s educated but not intelligent. I think you’re neither educated nor intelligent.

Anecdotal evidence it is.

You’ve just used 2 private schools as an example. Not really relevant to this discussion at all.

Do you have examples of public schools doing this? Also proof of what they did instead something like an “angry letter”?

Ghost gave an example. I just told you about 2, plus above my last post is another video.

I think one of my problems with your arguments are several underlying assumptions that I don’t agree with. I followed the HCQ discussion from the start and never heard or read anything in 2020 that suggested that the benefits of administering the drug early were well known by docs. I also differ with your opinion about how well we could or can predict who is most at risk when getting covid. The virus has behaved oddly and there were young thin, healthy people who had to get put on respirators. i agree that the pandemic was handled poorly but much of that responsibility should be borne by the White House, and as far as I can tell, you are not considering that.

Has anyone HERE said they excuse or want to protect the people who stormed the Capitol?
You know, Ghost, when I made that comment I was clearly talking about what was going on in the country in general. you tell me I take your remarks out of context, well then stop doing it to me. Since you asked, the discussion on this board actually has been really troubling. Some of the posters here insist that Antifa was involved in this, others of you don’t see the point to a committee to investigate what really happened. Then there is the refusal to recognize Trump’s role. And then there was all that discussion here about how Trump actually won the election, which was precisely the crap that led the Trump supporters to storm the castle. In a sane world, we would all respect the results of the election as accurate, be appalled at Trump’s demented refusal to recognize that he lost and would be demanding a full accounting of what happened so that those involved would be held accountable.
