If that is the best you can do, we can all sleep well knowing that Fauci did the best he could with the information available.This man, and many others, should rot in prison. Speaking of drugs, nice to see that Fauci was recommending to his family and friends the combination of hydroxycloroquine and azithromycin to friends and family way back in the winter of last year, while publicly saying HDC was dangerous and we don’t have enough studies to know if it’s safe. Reality, just as he proved with masks, he indeed did know the truth- when taken at the early onset of testing positive those drugs were extremely effective. If administered too late, they were not. Another example of Fauci blatantly lying to the American people. How many died or lost loved ones because he withheld this info?
It is not a credible site so I will continue to scoff. But Timo was suggesting, if I read him correctly, that Fauci had said privately that the drug combo was effective. I was asking where he got that from.
You won’t believe anything we say. A lot of this is coming from his emails. But again, read my first sentence. You don’t believe the sites we say. But I know you won’t get anything like we post from the sites you use.
A person would get more accurate info from Daffy Duck Times than the hacked, greased pocket sites you cite.
I misread the email. I thought it was Fauci saying that he had recommend the drugs to his family and friends, however, it was not him speaking, it was a physicist, Erik Nielsen, who had reached out to fauci saying that he had done so, and had also had colleagues on the front lines that had vouched on its success. The emails we’re from March 2020.
So I’ll walk back that Fauci recommended it to his friends and family, that i have not seen. I will stand by the point that there was ample evidence of its effectiveness early on that dismissing it to the level he did was irresponsible.
Could you link a recent study that shows that hydroxychloroquine was in fact effective in treating Covid-19?
I’m generally curious because I haven’t come across any information like that.

Gateway Pundit, which is what I posted yesterday. Take the time to read the article. I know it’s not written by liberals, but that’s what I’ve got. There’s also a short video in that link where Fauci dismissed the use of hydroxychloroquine, after Trump had touted its use.
Thanks. FYI from a brief amount of searching, the conclusions of positive results with these drugs are recent ones. Throughout 2020, the data showed little if any positive results.
I think you misunderstood, I’m not asking for an article from the gateway pundit. I’m asking for the emails that you’re citing.
I haven’t combed through them. What was dumped out onto the internet was a mountain of his emails, which I didn’t dive into.
What I have seen is from sources like Jack Posobiek, and people posting some of his email exchanges.
From following Fauci for almost a year and a half, he’s nothing more than a weasel who sold us out. I stand by my claim that public health has not been his priority. Lining his pockets has.
The problem with that is two fold,
1. Medically speaking, physicians will tell you and did last year, that use of HCQ early on was effective, use of it later stages not so much, due to a myriad of factors, one of which the virus had become too wide spread.
2. Data throughout 2020 was suppressed, and was hard to find. However, if you sought your own information from doctors, they often reported exactly what that study i linked found- use early - effective, use late- not so much/none at all.
Why was that info suppressed? Why if there were virtually zero negative side affects, was it suppressed, and why would that decision not be left to a patient and their doctor? Pharmacists were not allowed, think about that, not allowed to fill a prescription if your doctor wrote one for HCQ, and the combination of meds that they felt combatted the virus.

It good to see people challenging the division being pushed in our education system and trying to reinforce that teachers are their to educate not indoctrinate or push a particular agenda. Teach how to think not what to think.
Saying what pharmacists could and could not do is a tad bit difficult since the states took it on themselves to regulate access to the drug so that the people on whom it had a demonstrable curative effect like lupus sufferers would have access to it. Some pharmacists refused on their own. I saw nothing that indicated there was a blanket limitation coming from the federal government. In fact, given that Trump had stock in drug companies that produced HCQ, I would find it hard to believe that he wanted to discourage its sale.
Or maybe she just has a dumb take? Everyone is free to have an opinion but let’s not pretend that all opinions are equal.
The assumption that public educators are indoctrinating children into socialism and teaching children to “hate themselves” is laughably stupid. If you truly believe that this is the case, I feel sorry for you.

I don't particularly like that they cut her mike, but I agree with Crest. These days, every time the less conservative side wants to do anything, it gets labelled socialism. Want to provide a curriculum that addresses honestly and completely the role of slavery in society, socialism. Giving people a bit more help during a pandemic. Socialism. Kneeling at a football game, socialism. It is absolutely preposterous and does not advance any meaningful discussion. I recognize that some of the progressive members of the Democrats call themselves socialists with pride, but socialism is where the workers, through the government, own the means of production. Biden has never even remotely indicated that he favored that. There is nothing about teaching slavery and racism thoroughly and honesty that leads to socialism. Taking a knee to protest not being treated as a full citizen is hardly socialism. So when I see something like this ignorant rant, I find it hard to support even her right to speak.
I think he did the best he could with the information that was available at the time. Did he get some things wrong? Possibly. Was there malicious intent? Absolutely not. I think in situations like this leaders should err on the side of caution and I think he did a good job of providing guidance when the nation needed it the most.

I am not conflating them. Teachers such as that nimrod are. As far as the new curriculum, I am not sure why anyone would object to teaching the history of this Country accurately and completely. I never learned about the Tulsa massacre or Denmark Vesey or John Brown for that matter while I was in high school. I was never asked to focus on the fact that slaves helped build the White House. Also, I don't believe most people are aware that during Reconstruction, white legislators enacted all sorts of vagrancy laws as a way to arrest the newly free blacks, throw them in chain gangs and force them to do the very work that had done as slaves. I also did not know that when the Republicans came up with the idea, after the war, of free education so the newly freed slaves could read and write, the Southern Democrats cried socialism. We all really need to understand this stuff so that we can an accurate understanding of our history. Ignoring it would be tantamount to telling present day Germans that it does no good for them to learn about the Holocaust.

This Critical Race Theory nonsense is just the latest boogeyman the GOP has put out to maximize white resentment. Which is very important since white resentment has been the primary motivator for GOP voters since the late 60s.
