I feel like you are being deliberately obtuse. To me (to me) it is clear why you continue to ignore the point. You seem to only want to engage with comments that you feel cannot be disputed. Like the statistics out of Florida and the cyclical nature of the virus. But you refuse to even concede to the possibility that it is a formed narrative by bad actors on the left and the corporate media meant to negatively impact the person many conservatives see as someone they want to run against this despicable and incompetent administration, or whoever the left puts out there in 2024. You throw out numbers without context, that's because you let the bad actors mentioned above form that in your head. You talk about no mask mandates and other useless mandates as a reason why Florida's surge was caused by DeSantis and his refusal to enact such mandates. But you completely ignore the FACT that places that have said mandates have had the same trajectories despite enacting them. If you haven't woke up to the fact that all of this os about power and control and none of it is about yours or my health, I don’t think you ever will. We'll just blindly follow our unelected bureaucrats and continue to vote with our feelings.

I acknowledge that it has indeed decreased after a very high increase...how can I brush off the coverage aspect when I didn't speak to it....my perspective is that Florida got so much coverage on how DeSantis went about things, no mandates, no masks in schools and etc..while people were dropping like flies....thats my take, but I didn't share that
that was my take on the negative coverage he was getting when things weren't looking good, no where near saying those were the reasons for surge

Right but you seem like you want to attribute to the mandates that were “not” in place. Right? Or are you accepting that that lacks context to try and pin it on one thing when it’s cyclical in nature and it affects different groups in different ways. Not to mention, what is being counted as Covid deaths still to this day is asinine.
You mentioned in response to me a few posts up when I asked why are we still testing, you mentioned maybe it’s for peoples peace of mind. So then when does it end? It would be never because Covid and it’s many variants will never go away. So will we just keep watching some of the population mask up (see duke managers behind the bench) and another group not ( see duke players and coaches) and pretend this is some kind of science? I mean, if we can’t see how stupid this stuff is by this point we are a lost cause as a society. People have got to stop living in constant fear of something that they have a 99.9% survival rate of. Shutting down child care for ten days because one kid tested positive? What are we doing here?

Your take, again, is created by your apparent lack of understanding. We all knew cases in Florida were high. You know why? They told us every day. Not everyone understood the context behind why the cases were so high. And many believed that the reasons were because of a renegade governor whose policies were killing his citizens. You know why not everyone understood the context? Because they were fed lies and manipulated numbers by the msm and the usual leftists.
At this point, you can actually talk about this point. Dispute it, or concede to it. Or you may as well stop talking about how you're not even talking about it.
Why stop at November 19th? Michigan has led the nation all on their own with cases per 100k fore over two months now. Right now there are over 170,000 more active cases in Michigan than this same time last year. They are absolutely not in their downswing. They are at the beginning of their upswing. Almost 10,000 reported today with 200 deaths. They are the only state in red. Meaning you are highly likely to contract the virus.
As far as the comparison to Florida. I can't find the graphs that I was looking at on another forum. It showed Florida's peak per 100k when excluding duplicate positive tests. Since Florida reports a second positive test as a new daily case. And Florida was somewhere around 65/100k while Michigan was at 68. This was a couple of weeks ago. If I find the thread, I will copy the graphs with the sources.
Aside from the comparison, the 14 day average of cases has gone down 5%. The daily tests have gone down 15%. Take it how you may. The trends you look for with covid is hospitalizations. They are up 40% while deaths are up 23%.
I am just waiting to hear from the media about how their democratic governor and her policies are to blame for failing so miserably with a virus that is so easily defeated by masks and vaccine mandates.

He probably should have worded it differently, but again, you’re either very naive, or you’re just plain ignorant. Majority of the folks that have died (no stats) were not in good health, and many were in very bad shape. Anything that they can attach Covid to, not only will they do it, but it will be highlighted on top of that.
I know a guy that lost his brother about 2 months ago. His brother was 79 and healthy for his age. He had been double vaccinated, and was at the VA, and they decided to give him his booster. Three days later, he died in the hospital with double pneumonia.
What’s the likelihood that the booster led to his passing? I’m not sure, but I’ll almost bet that if he wasn’t vaccinated it would have been called Covid, and the general public would have known.

Idk when it'll end man, some people would like to know so that they want be the one unknowingly spreading at family gatherings at work etc... and a person choosing to wear a mask isnt bothering anyone, i do get some visuals look odd...i would think the duke managers as a precaution since they do have outside interactions outside of their team manager duties, is just an added precaution for our guys and coaches....idk...i understand your stance and to the daycare scenario...that one kid gets other kids sick/staff sick...those kids/staff go home and possibly get ones at home sick...ones at home may be vulnerable and the worst happens...this whole mess is crazy
