I'd love to get Roach back, he will be much better than any 18 year old coming in, but he may want to go somewhere he can play 35 min. a game at point guard. It may depend a lot on whether Proctor comes back. I have no idea what he's thinking. I've always felt Proctor might go back to Australia for a year or two and then try the NBA.
Proctor may be draftable at this point. I have no idea what these guys think and I've given up trying lol
I didn’t say it in my recent post but it’s pretty cool we got Roach back for THIS year. He’s had some ups and downs but no way we win the last 8 in a row without him. I know he was frustrated last night on his drives but I don’t think we win that game without him. Great player, good kid and fun to watch. Keep being Jeremy for how ever many games we have left.
Has nothing to do about being afraid. He’d play 40min next year. Sometimes you just want to move on. He will graduate early and move on- whether that’s G-league, Europe or wherever. Glad he came back for year 3.

I have to use a different browser to read THR because of being banned about 6 years ago. But the double clicking on Chrome to read THR is very worth the effort this morning.
Me too but I have to log out so I usually never go over there. And it's one of those things where I have no clue whatsoever when or why I was banned. Hell I've posted on Kentucky's board for 20 years and have always gotten along great with that crowd. I don't post to flame so I know there was nothing bad that got me banned from THR, they're just way too "closed ranks" or "circle the wagons" at places like THR and IC. And even on some Duke forums to be fair. Total opposite over at Rupp Rafters, hell they'll bash their team and Coaches far worse than any visitor could. lol. I can remember when that board was on a different server or web host (whatever you call it for your super technical folks) and the funny thing was they didn't have enough bandwith to support the traffic volume. And that was when Tubby was there and they were always riding him and I kid you not, when they would lose you could not get on that board as the volume of traffic would shut it down. When they would win you always could get on. This was around December 2002 for which little did they know that Tubby had a great team that was developing with Keith Bogans. They went undefeated in the SEC, # 1 in the AP poll and had that heartbreaker loss to Marquette and a guy named Dwayne Wade in the elite 8. During that season IIRC is when they switched to the rivals format which could support the traffic.
For me, I was pre-banned at IC, probably because of my username. I have only rarely posted on RR because I usually draw a lot of hateful comments, very likely for the same reason. Whatever, I am not changing it just to post on rival boards. To sum it up, IC and THR are quick to ban opposing fans for little or no reason whilst RR is not but there are quite a few RR fans who will attack you if they realize that you are a Duke fan.
They have such a huge volume of fans, no doubt having Duke in the name would surely illicit something. They have a lot of older posters that for the most part are very easy to get along with which is why I've posted at times all these years and had some good straight up hoops conversations with some of them. (Though I don't post a whole lot anymore, and usually never during the off-season.) But for newbie KY posters if they knew right away who I pulled for I'm sure I'd get the same attack as well. Ton of people on that site.
For all that were on IC or THR did you'll say "I come in peace" before you'll started to post? 😂😂😂😂😂
The holes were a dumpster fire this season. I fully expected them to be the favorites for the title. Never been so happy to have been so wrong. Hubert was awful this year. I hope it's accurate as far as his coaching ability. If so, he better not get too comfortable in his office.

Crazy thing is they were much closer to getting in yesterday than anybody thought. They weren't even in the discussion as a bubble team after the ACC Tournament loss to UVA and we find out they were among the First Four out along with Clemson. Must be something to that name brand accusation that fans of smaller schools make. They absolutely get in had they just beaten Duke on March 4, or UVA this weekend. No doubt some of the nails in their Tournament coffin are painted Royal Blue.

All they had to do is beat us or Virginia. That was their 2 play in games.
Would think both Proctor and Mitchell coming back would make the most financial sense with NIL Optus. Proctor is projected as not being drafted at all and Mitchell would be taken in the last 5-10 picks in the 2nd round in a best case scenario. Don’t get why Roach would go elsewhere. He would still be a starter and play 30-35 minutes. His family seem to love Duke. Don’t get the reason that you would consider transferring but what do I know.
I also don’t expect Roach back , nor do I see him going to another school. I think it’s simply he wants to move on to the next chapter of his life . The only thing he needs improvement on is being a true pg because he’s too small in the league for a combo or sg.
Exactly. And all this talk about expanding the tournament again is crazy. All teams in Division 1 have the same opportunity to make the tournament. Win more games, make the big dance. The rumors I am reading about is they want about 25% of teams to make the tournament. At that rate, teams with a 15 win season will be in. So dumb. Frankly, 68 is too many.
Agreed. If teams like Clem, Nc St, Unc were automatic the last two weeks this yr it would devalue the regular season to the extreme. The scenario you mentioned would open the door for teams like BC and Va Tech. If you can’t go 500 in conf play you belong in the Nit
Here we are talking about Roach and about expanding the Tournament and we should be talking about those Sad Sacks 8 miles down the road. Can we focus please? 
I am almost too busy eating a delicious slice of schadenfreude pie to talk about them. They will be reduced in the off season to praying both that a few 2024 recruits reclass for them and that there is a mass exodus to the NBA at Duke. So many new firsts for them. To follow up on blowing a huge lead in a championship game with being pre-season number one and not even making the tournament is impressive. Anything else? Oh yea, GG Jackson leaving them crying at the wedding altar while stating that he wanted to go where he could maximize his pro potential was another dagger. Oh, Gloom Despair and Agony on Me whither does the Hee Haw holes go now? They will likely kneel down and pray at the Temple of the Portal for succor.
HD said they had a team vote and the majority voted not to play in the NiT. Hard for me to believe as a player myself becuase at the end of the day you just want to play basketball . IT DOESNT MATTER where, when, against who, whatever. Let’s just play. It’s a a horrible culture look regardless whoever made that decision and however you spin it. And it all falls on HD….Idiot.😁
I agree that it is a strange look unless the players have just had enough and are ready to move on. I think there may very well have been a lot of friction between their players this year. As a leader, HD gets a F grade.
