Ole Roy's presser preview

I would like to share the expert @Steat post from 2/1/20. This is a gem:

The team seems to have more confidence now. I saw that at the beginning of the State game. Hindsight is 20-20, but I felt that UNC was going to win this game after after the first several minutes. It's one of those feelings that you know it when you see it.

Has Platek turned the corner? Two plays come to mind. One, the driving lay-up and the 20-foot jumper that banged around the rim and dropped in. Could be quite ironic if the kid starts hitting more outside shots because of the luck on that shot. Could have been exactly what the doctor ordered for Platek to start banging in some 3-pointers down the stretch.

As for Cole, I am not an advocate of him coming back. On the other hand, the moment he hits the floor I will support him 200% and pray that he does not suffer another injury. I hope he can lead the team into the Dance. I hope he is 100%.

As for the chances of making the Dance, they can't afford to lose another home game.

I have a diiferent take on how they get there.

Win all home games. That's 5 wins .

Feb. 1 Boston College

Feb. 8 Duke Chapel

Feb. 15 Virginia Chapel

Feb. 25 NC State Chapel

March 3 Wake Forest

Three of these 6 road games, with at least 2 wins coming from the 3 games against Florida State, Louisville and Duke .

Feb. 3 at Florida State

Feb. 11 at Wake Forest

Feb. 17 at Notre Dame

Feb. 22 at Louisville

Feb. 29 at Syracuse

March 7 at Duke

That gives the team a 18-13 record going in the ACC Tourney and guaranteed 7-8 seed in then Dance "regardless" of their record in ACC Tourney. Making the semi-finals of the ACC Tourney could move them up to a 5-6 seed.

ACC Tourney

March 10 First Round

March 11 Second Round

March 12 Quarterfinals

March 13 Semifinals

March 14 Championship

It starts today. Go Heels!

This has been a wonderful and fun thread tonight. Seeing the cheating heels lose is really close to seeing Duke win. I said really close but not quite as much satisfication. I need to say this though. The heels did ein a natty sfter the AFAM scandal and that made me sick to my stomach to see that after getting off scot free. I thought sometimes it's just not fair but the scales of justice always balances out. I never been one to really think much about karma but just maybe karma is indeed real. I do have some empathy for the current players. They really had nothing to do with it but in the same breath they did choose unc cheater u as the program they wanted to play for. But as far as feeling any empathy or pity for the athletic programs or hof cosch roy williams, mack brown or anyone else who were involved in that dirty scandal I have none at all and I will consistantly use this board to remind anyone who post or lurks here. Looking for toophly1124 to give me his usual sarcastic like when I post something about thr cheater heels. OFC

UNC gets smacked down by Wake. Not a really good Wake team, a mediocre Wake team at best.
Apparently, UNC totally shot their Wad against us...and lost...at Home...after leading all game...after leading by 13 with 4 min left...after leading by 10 with 2 min left...after a near impossible play to force OT...after leading by 5 with 20 seconds left in OT...on a wild scramble leading to a tip in buzzer beater!!! The only thing missing was a tearful UNC fan in a Teletubby outfit.

Doesn't get much better than this in mid Feb boys!
