Congratulations on a great win, Blue Devil Fans. Though I'm a Wolfpack fan, I grew up a Duke fan so I still have a place in my hears from the old days, Dick Groat, Art Heyman, Bob Verga, Steve Vacendak, Bob Lewis.
This current team is the best TEAM in the nation and U think the best team in at least 10 years. Theur defense tonight holding Alabama to just 65 points was atifiling. They has a perfect game plan. Alabanas player Sears probably wanted to pick up his ball and go home. All of thee Duke players complement on an other. They are a fun team to watch. Goof luck in the final 4. I like you guys chanes.

Flagg is the best freshman Duke has ever had because what he does offensively and defensively. Flagg has a legitimate chance to get his number retired as a one and done. It would take two more wins though.

Let’s not get carried away. Yeah, Bagley was really good on offense, but he couldn’t spell defense.
I’d take Cooper eight days a week over him, and twice on Sunday. Kon and Maluach too for that matter.
I watch Alabama beat BYU like a 4th wife and I get anxious, Then all it takes is about 4 minutes for us to have a 10-point lead and I'm like, "Oh, yeah, that's who WE are!" They cut it to 4 points very quickly, and even with an 11-point lead at the under 12 timeout of the 2nd half I knew Alabama had the ability to come back and win, but that pre-game level of anxiety never returned. With this team, the pre-game level of anxiety never returns.
Not only did Alabama never lead, but for the final 37:38, it was never even a one-possession game. Obviously not even a 4-possession game is safe against Alabama in the last 4 minutes, but for all the "they keep hanging around" sentiment the announcers have to keep alive for the sake of drama, we held them outside of striking distance the whole game. They never got closer than 6 in the second half.
After the game I drove across town to my UNC fan brother's house to sleep on his couch for an early airport run for his fam. No gloating required.

I know exactly what you mean. Duke kept them at arms length the entire second half but during that lengthy stretch where the lead stayed around 8 to 10 points I couldn’t help but have this little unease knowing that Alabama could nail several threes in the blink of an eye and erase the lead. They’re that explosive offensively and are fearless about launching those bombs.
This has nothing to do with Flagg. I said it's amazing that Bagley is never mentioned with some of the other freshman when in reality he was more dominant than pretty much every freshman with the exception of Flagg and maybe Zion. Again, name the Duke players all time that did what he did several times in one year at Duke. I'll give you a hint, it is an extremely small list...
Yup. Was texting a friend through almost the whole game that Bama was going to make a run. I was just sitting there waiting and waiting. Glad it never happened
This is the best take on Cooper Flagg. He’s the ultimate competitor and so is Kon. Truly the Batman and Robin. I told my wife that it’s been fun watching the improvement of Maluach throughout this season.
Honestly, I was shocked by how we controlled the game from the tip. I had little to no worry about the first three rounds, but bama scared me. Bullied those guys!

Cooper has a pedestrian night and we rolled the mighty tide by 20 all the way back to Tuscaloosa. Mysteriously 3 pointers are a little tougher when playing against defense. This team is special. DUKE is the team to beat!!! Let’s go!!!

The one thing that impresses me the most about Flagg is his effort. He never takes a play off. The only time you see him relax is when we bring the ball up. Coach Scheyer has really grown this season as well. Duke basketball is in great hands!

I like Kenny Smith alright, perhaps more for Barkley in their relationship. He has a sense of humor about being a hater, like Hubert Davis did with Jay Bilas back when they both worked for ESPN.
We get annoyed with Bilas and JWill because they refuse to be homers, then get annoyed by former UNC players turned commentators for showing and owning their homerism?
Hansbrough can't pull off humor. He comes across as bitter that he peaked in college. Shoot, for that matter, I wished he had peaked at a different time, too. lol
Hansflopper was on that former punters show the other day, suns out guns out guy, can’t remember his name. Constantly goading Hans about how great the Sec was and how bad the Acc was. Hans was getting noticeably pissed.
I did like the guy in that particular moment, that he still loves the Acc and his gut reaction was to defend it.
Well, he has the personality of a door knob which is why he can’t pull it off with the humor.
Hey, did you notice during the game that stat they threw up that showed Duke’s last Final Four was 2022 and in parentheses it said semifinal loss to UConn. (Lol). They showed the same stat a little bit later and corrected it to say UNC but I thought it was hilarious as I would guarantee any Carolina fans watching surely made note that another team was given credit for beating Duke (since Heel fans have done everything but build a statue over that one game, and a statue is probably coming soon.) those kind of moments can come with consequences though such as contract extensions 😜

Didn’t want Houston because they’ll be hungry after last years loss. We still have the length and size advantage though so should be ok
It's too bad Tennessee's conference schedule didn't prepare them better for facing Houston.
