What is Durham, NC known for besides Duke University? If I'm visiting your city, what places do you recommend I check out and do?

If you're 12 or under, swimming and diving at the YMCA is a big hit.
 
Duke Gardens, Durham Bulls Baseball, lots of great restaurants and live music.
Drive 10-15 minutes to Chapel Hill and enjoy Franklin St.or Morehead Planiterium
Drive 25 minutes to Raleigh and enjoy 25 bars in Glenwood South Area.
Drive 2.5 hrs to coast or 2 hrs to mountains.
Drive. 2.5 hours to Gastonia to White Water Kayaking/Rafting Center.
Play golf at one of the 20 great courses within hour of Durham or maybe go spend the day in
Go to Carter Finley to Stone concert if you are here in early July
Best thing of all----Go to Duke student store and buy 2015 Duke National Championship apparel .
 
Go to the Duke Basketball Museum and see the trophy presented after we beat the Fab 5 like a 4 year old in the Wal-Mart.
 
Duke University Hospital. One of the finest in the nation and one of the best for treating and cancer research. Many lives have been saved there and many more will be which could include any one who has posted on his thread. OFC
 
Meet my man PJ on South Main St. at 2AM. Guaranteed good time. Just remember though, the gun is yours.
 
You can actually take any class that UNC offers from literally any location in Durham.

That's assuming of course you can break yourself away from the Ann Arbor museum commemorating the 0 conference championships and 0 national championships won by the Fan Five.
