Gameball: Duke vs. Southern Indiana

Before I say anything about Duke I just want to acknowledge the fight in the Screaming Eagles. They came in believing they could win and it showed.

As to Duke they started the game playing as if Southern Indiana was suppossed to roll over for the great Duke.

Scheyer woke them up by shaking up the lineup. The bench played better in the 1st half than the starters.

Honestly, the players off the bench in the first half that woke up the team deserve the Game Ball as a collective.

Better wake up. Folks can think the ACC is down if we want to, but its Duke. We WILL get everyone’s best shot. And right now, this team doesn’t look ready for that, especially on the road.

Flip took over.

I've made peace with the fact I'm not high on Young, but game turned around when he got limited minutes. Glad Jon adjusted and hell of a coaching adjustment by him.

I’m glad Flip woke up, as did Roach. But I agree with @BluePhil. The job the reserves did in the 1st half was the spark, and they deserve the game ball.

Flip then Roach. They showed leadership. Despite our guys back this is still a relatively young team.
