Fellow Braves Fans.....

What a play by Acuna!!! It would have cut the lead to 4-2, but Acuna shut the door. Now 8-0 Atlanta. Alonso had incredible bat speed. Must pitch around him the rest of the weekend

Ian Anderson only has C- stuff but an 8 run cushion should be enough. Acuna robbed the HR and now Michael Harris threw out the dopey runner at home. 8-1 Braves

Anderson looks shaky, walking a high number and giving up some well hit balls. Need to get out of this third still up 8-1! OFC

Beer chaser now as the game tightens. Anderson may be done (couldn't get thru five w/8-0 lead). Mets came barreling back- we're still up 8-5,bottom of 7th! OFC

Hopefully this is a jumping off point Acuna tonight. 3 hits and great defense. Need this Ronald for the stretch run.
Smash, Acuna was the difference maker along with Rosario. I honestly thought we might unravel COMPLETELY when Mets cut it to 8-5.

You have to go back to Acuna's "great defense" you mentioned. Ronald literally STOLE Alonso's HOMER, as it was leaving the yard. It was one of those EARLY DEFINING MOMENTS in a game, where you say "If the Braves win, REMEMBER THAT PLAY!!" Yes he was impactful on offense as well!

Rates as IMPORTANT WIN! Loss would have dropped us 5.5 games back. Doubleheader today!!

OFC

Glad I didn't watch the first game of the doubleheader. Apparently, the loss was never in doubt and it took 4 hours. I really enjoyed the 7 innings doubleheaders.

Tonight it's Fried vs Scherzer and I think tomorrow is Strider vs deGrom

First game was disaster. We made score respectable at end, but issue never in doubt. Down 3-0 to Scherzer 2nd game in 4TH, so it's going to be rough going. If we lose, we drop 5.5 games back of Mets-biggest deficit in some time. OFC

I would have challenged the play at the plate. I thought that D'Arnaud beat the tag. Probably would not have been reversed, but need a break when Scherzer is pitching so well

5.5 games back of the Mets, after entering New York 3.5 back. I know there's over a month of baseball left, but think a loss today could be the defining moment in the NL EAST race.Lose today? Better be sure and pick up a wildcard spot! Hate to say it, but the Mets are just a better team.

It’s simple. We’re not playing playoff baseball against playoff teams. You can’t hit for power against teams with aces and (some) decide to try and turn it on at the end of the game. We will have to get on another helluva run and play playoffs baseball against our remaining playoffs teams to overtake the Mets. IF we don’t and get a wildcard spot the good thing is (some) of this team has, it seems like we can turn it on and off. We’re playing with fire though doing that.

The Mets are playing well. Even though they didn't score in the first, they forced Strider to throw 29 pitches

deGrom must be incredible because I enjoyed watching him pitch even though he was crushing my team

I've never pitched in my life. I don't know what I'm talking about... deGrom seems perfect except that he is often hurt and even in the healthy years he was winning the cy young with records such as 10-9. He wins one game 7-2 and loses the next 2-1. I think that he should pitch twice a week out of the bullpen in tight games once through the batting order.

Maybe go 9-5 with 15 saves while pitching only 125 innings and saving his arm for the postseason. Or he could be satisfied with throwing 93mph and saving his shoulder rather than throwing 100 mph all the time

Dansby's dinger really teed him off!! 🤣🤣🤣 OFC

Can’t do nothin but laugh when you’re hurt. I’m hurt , passed off,, fk it. We still got life. We need a little life support and some help though.

A tremendous win on Tuesday on TBS where the Braves belong. Acuna was incredible on the bases . Scored three runs I believe. An average runner might have scored one. A great slide in the 11th. Unfortunately, Arcia pulled a muscle trying to get to second when he put the Braves up 7-6 in the tenth

I don’t keep up with other teams but do they have the amount of injuries that we do this year?
