Man.. Give it to Syracuse for a hell of a game they played against us
Syracuse played amazing and shot amazing as well.
Yes they did! Gotta get AJ going. Banchero made some good plays today. Several assists and was a presence on defense in the final minutes
Wow. We can criticize, and probably have some reason. 6-22 shooting 3’s in the 1st half. Syracuse allowed that, and we helped them. They chose their poison and for a while, it worked.
The other part we need to keep in mind is the opponent that has nothing to lose. Nothing. That allows you to play loose, and boy did they. Guys picked up the slack for Buddy being out.
Our 2nd half we went inside more. We still had to hit some 3’s. Enter Roach. Thank you Jeremy.
But, like has been said all season, Banchero has to play like a man, and quit trying to play like a guard. We need his size. It does no good 20 ft from the basket.
It’s past time for this team to realize the target is on their back, and play the whole game trying to prove their worth. For at least 25 minutes, we played defensive.

K just said the team is dealing with a stomach bug. He, Chris Carrawell, and AJ all three were throwing up all day yesterday and last night.
It must be a bug that forces you to shoot threes. Miami will be tougher.

Pretty much everyone we play until the sweet 16 will be loose against us. We can't let teams hang around. Still we won. Still time to improve. We havent looked good the last 2 games. Maybe we play better tomm. Our upperclassmen stepped up today.

We took their absolute best punch and still won by 9. Games like this are good for us and I will take the W!
Start Roach. Bring Keels in off the bench. Roach has been absolutely great the past 3-4 games... Paolo has to get better. IMO I'd sit him when he starts forcing everything, it's like a trickle down effect with him. The thought is hard to think but him forcing offense throws everything off... our middle pick and roll defense has to get better or maybe a match-up zone may be needed going forward.
Beat Miami and we make the championship game. Us and UNC? The ACC is really down. We could win the tournament without beating a ranked team.

Hopefully the "stomach bug" has passed. That obviously makes you VERY WEAK, and I applaud A.J. for being a warrior and playing.
