This is magical. I turned it on with 8 minutes left to drink their tears. I love it. Now, maybe they'll shut up about Mahomes being the GOAT. Brady didn't lose twice by blowouts in the Super Bowl. Also, neither did Montana. Mahomes is good, but he's not on their level.

They must take a loss from Cuse, State, V-Tech, FSU, UVA, or Miami to be out. If they win all six of those, they'll be 20-11 going into the game with us, and I think they have a good shot of making it in with a tight game or win against us. So, I don't think we can put the nail in their coffin just yet, but it's close.

It isn't. But Joe had them as a First Four Team out after beating Pitt and losing to Clemson on the road doesn't change that. So, I think they're right there. Putting that nail in the coffin would take a bad loss and another loss from us.
They should beat Syracuse at least. This is the worst Syracuse team I can remember since I started watching ball in the mid 80s. JB had them at least on the bubble every year. They may have been around 500 the last year but still had more talent.

Duke’s a reliable stock, almost always a solid even if unspectacular season. Heels had that rock solid stock but in the post-Dean era they tend to have much lower lows than Duke over the last three decades. Some Missed NCAA’s or double digit L seasons are sprinkled in and around their great tournament runs. The bad seasons cause the brand to slip, Mike Nike is staring down a social security check, they can’t point to the NBA as a selling point like they used to and the brand is just totally stale. It changes fan perceptions of prowess over time.
Duke is still riding high three seasons removed from the K brand. Until some stinker seasons crop up and/or recruiting weakens, the Duke brand is as formidable as ever as of this date and time.
They’ll be back though, they’ll do anything to make sure of that.

This Clemson team reminds me a lot of the ‘23 Miami team that reached the FF.
Built a little differently but this Tiger team is definitely capable of a deep run.
I doubt I have them in my predicted FF but I won’t be surprised at all if they reach the FF.

They have better size than Miami though. Tigers are a well assembled team and they have a lot of bases covered. Shooting, size, skill, experience. That Russian guy was out there last night shooting like Christian Laettner. One of the announcers last night thought Clemson would be an 8 seed in the dance. That’s always possible depending on what happens the rest of the league season and because of the quality of the league, but I think they’ll ultimately get a higher seed than that.
If by chance that turned out to be right, and Clemson did get an 8 seed. Whoever the 1 seed is better watch out because that would be a very tough matchup for a 1 seed to play this Clemson team in the second round. (Assuming they won the 8/9 matchup)
There is a bunch of big names teams projected as either 8/9 seeds right now. Oregon, Baylor, Gonzaga, Ohio State, St Mary’s, New Mexico, UCONN and West Virginia. Those all seem to be tougher than normal second round games for the 1 seeds. Right now Clemson is projected as a 7 seed on ESPN. I think they are better than that though.
