I'm sorry for the tardiness of this thread...for those of you that travel significantly you'll be able to feel my pain of the typical hotel internet. Brutal.

Anyway, on to today's game. I can't believe I'm saying this - but we've come to the end of the regular season. Feels like we were just watching Duke and Michigan State at the champions classic. Crazy how fast the season flies by.

If we win this one - we should be guaranteed a #1 seed regardless of what happens in the ACC tournament. This won't be an easy one, though. Senior day at Chapel Hill and they'll be ready to play.

A couple things will be key factors IMO. UNC is probably going to win the battle of the boards and the battle of the paint. That said, if Duke can get Okafor going, knock down the three with consistency and MAKE FREE THROWS I think we win.

I like Duke in a tight one that I can't wait to have start!!!

Duke has more on the line than UNC does, so I have to go with my boys. It will be a battle, as it should, but no outside shooting kills the Scar Heels and the Blue Devils will exploit it tonight. OFC

I'm hardly a homer, but I really don't get the betting line or all the talking heads picking UNC. Duke IMO is clearly the better team, and UNC has underwhelmed in all of its games against top 20 teams -- including at home. The one exception is the road game at Duke, which they really only took control of when Okafor got injured -- and even then still couldn't close the deal. I think we win in a game that stays relatively close, but which we largely control.

Ahh, it is here once again. The Carolina faithful are thinking they will win at home. Only lost because of the refs in game one. But, Duke comes out early, hits some shots and, to the surprise of everyone, Roy calls an early timeout. In the huddle, he says, "Feed Kennedy!" So, Kennedy quickly eats a pizza. He gains 12 pounds and can't run up and down the court. Duke takes a lead into halftime. Duke has the better players and will quickly increase the lead to about 12 and then Roy tells Marcus Paige to start scoring garbage points and for Tokodoh to shoot 16 footers.

Get your brooms guys! It is Sweep Carolina Day. And a 1 seed is ours.

All I'm hearing here in Tar Heel County, N.C. is the Heels are favored tonight and it does make sense. They very well may win tonight. It is being played at DES and it's senior day. Now true the only seniors are Hubert who is injured and not playing and Simmons who doesn't get very much pt even under HOF Coach Roy Williams' . It may also considered Marcus Paige's last game at the dome for the third year in a row. The feel they were cheated out of one down at CIS and that also motivates them. I do think we beat them but we need to get off to a fast start a a really big lead and sustain it. If so we need to keep pouring it on. i expect the dome to be loud at first but if we get out fast with a big lead then we can quieten that crowd down so low that the only person that can be heard is LetsGoDuke and we won't hear that very long before HOF Coach Roy Williams shoots him in the beam with his Red Ryder BB gun and has him escorted out of Chapel Hill. You might want to drive your own car LetsGoDuke. Anyway I have never picked Duke to lose on THE OFFICIAL GAMEDAY THREAD and I'm not to start now.

I'm not as confident as most of you are, Wish I was, but I'm not. The Heels are really good, but they've killed themselves by faltering down the stretch and losing a bunch of close games. The Dome will be rocking tonight, and this is UNC's opportunity to heal all wounds by taking down the mighty Blue Devils. I expect a war. Go Duke!

I don't have a good feeling about this one...

1.) We were red hot against Wake last game and we normally follow a hot shooting game with a brick fest.

2.) Seems like every year in the past 5 or 6 years we've had a chance to put ourselves in a great seeding position if we get a win in our last game and it seems each of those years we waste the opportunity.

I hope I'm wrong, but something tells me UNC plays the game of their season.

I think I am pretty realistic when it comes to my Duke expectations and I think I have a good feel for this team. With that said, I feel pretty confident we are going to win tonight. UNC is favored by 1.5 which I am a little surprised to see. I think it's a really close game that is not indicated by the score.

I agree with everything you say, but I think we'll get "good" UNC. Coupled with the homecourt advantage, I predict that we'll end up settling for the regular season split.

Of course, we could just shoot the lights out and win by 15, like in 2013. I wish every Duke-Carolina game at Chapel Hill was like that one.

The alarm may have gone off, but they can't read the handbook on procedures anyway. Sky should be ok. As long as the pieces are in place, victory is ours. I will gladly take one for the team for a sweep of Carolina. And, I may o may not have spoken with the UNC team caters. They will be withholding extra nanner pudding from Meeks. He can't play without 12,000 calories.

But I salute you ODD and Sky for your patriotism and soldier like precision. I hope all of Duke nation praises the hard work. You will now be able to be buried in K-Ville.

I'm in hiding. I'm scared and nervous. I have no idea how they found out about all this. I'm afraid we are not going to get the benefit of the officials tonight. I was also told that we were not the only people who had money from one arrogant official and from now on the games would be decided by silent bids. I afraid to say this but with the magnitude of their fan base I don't think we are going to be able to compete. Thy have at least a gazillion fans and that could mean 10's of thousands of dollars.It doesn't look good. I'm ashamed to say this but I think maybe one of our own has been a little too free with his information and has let the cat out of the bag. (GTHC GTH) Any suggestions?

Sky, I can promise you that I haven't let the cat out of the bag. I don't allow myself to have any interaction with UNC faithful. I have never even been to Chapel Hill (true story actually, despite living in Roxboro). I am a veteran of the US Army and I understand OPSEC and the importance of withholding information. But, I wouldn't worry about UNC offering more money. They used it all up for the PR bonanza to get rid of the "scandal." The refs are always on our side. I know. I read THR. So, we should be in great shape for tonight. And, heaven forbid, that we aren't we have The Justise League. That should be enough on its own.
