I suspect that Harris and Evans will only get in for blowouts and perhaps when we are struggling on offense and need to give someone else a chance to get us going. I don't see them getting more than 5 min. a game or so on the average.
I agree unless something changes during the seasonI suspect that Harris and Evans will only get in for blowouts and perhaps when we are struggling on offense and need to give someone else a chance to get us going. I don't see them getting more than 5 min. a game or so on the average.
I can’t say I agree with this . Teams will now focus on Kon . And we’re looking at one exhibition and one charity game . The ArIzona St game when Kon came on in the second half , I really believe they were gassed to the point trying to cover every scorer Duke had on the court was just getting more exhausting. Cooper is the best in terms of all around game . As we get into the Kentucky and Arizona games like them they have better talent and we will get a better gauge on Kon .I was impressed when Gillis drove and knocked the ASU player down. He is a grown man. Cooper may not be the best freshman on his own team. He probably is, but Kon has been better so far.
It's about injuries and matchups.Harris will get in. I don’t know about Evans at this point . Too early to tell still imo.
Even with injuries I think Harris is a head defensively and physical wise than Evans .It's about injuries and matchups.
What seven guys return is my question? At first glance I’m a bit worried about how to play everyone. Give the freshman enough burn to come back for next year. Only 3 recruits so far. At least 3 players will be gone off current roster. Maybe return about 7 guys, add the freshman and no need for too many transfers.
Play the 5 th year guys enough to see what they can do but since they will be leaving anyway don’t waste okaying time on them until the ACCT.
This can’t work. There are no guarantees anymore. A kid could play 15-18 minutes a game and still leave. It’s all about winning now.At first glance I’m a bit worried about how to play everyone. Not sure he “bolted”Mitchell started and Jon played him through that ghastly shooting slump and he still bolted. I do think our tranfers are upgrades over the guys who bailed, who may put up numbers but will take a ton of shots.
His playing time was definitely going to be cut. He saw the talent coming inHe's still at Duke?
I don't know if that is true. He was not going to play his natural position. He was going to be the pf again with the addition of Cooper. If Mark stays you may not get Brown or Gillis. His playing time was definitely going to be cut. He saw the talent coming in
I'm glad it all worked out for everybodyI don't know if that is true. He was not going to play his natural position. He was going to be the pf again with the addition of Cooper. If Mark stays you may not get Brown or Gillis.
He was with Flip at the PF, not Cooper at the SF.Mitchell simply believed he was a sf
Thank youI believe Mitchell knew his role on this year's team was going to be reduced, and Jon held the door open for him as he left.
If the ASU game is an indication they’re wrong20 top journalists picked their final four. 9 had us in the final four, but none had us winning it all. Interesting.
No I meant he himself believed he was a sf when he was more effective around the basket as a pf .He was with Flip at the PF, not Cooper at the SF.
