Did we get one stop in OT? This outscoring teams thing is not going to work against good teams. Oh well.
Another day another loss with absolute 0 coaching involved. Screw drawing up a play, let’s go hero ball and see what happens. Guess we didn’t learn a damn thing after the rj barret failure.
I hate to see our guys lose with 0 effort from the coaching staff. You’d think coach k would want to go balls out but there’s nothing there anymore

Can’t defend not using the timeout and setting something up and getting Palo the ball…can’t be defended…

Why if you question K is it bashing? That’s the only thing I want to know?
Good game but Florida state took care of the ball, got offensive rebounds and played to their strength.
I’m more worried about the bashing of Dukes bench players. For Christ sakes Florida st just went ten deep and it kept all their guys fresh . I’m trying to figure out why K didn’t stay in zone in regulation.
Someone please explain to me how this is a final four team. We've played 6 good teams and lost to 3 of them.
Tough one. They come out in the 2nd half and punched us hard. Banchero and Williams played well after their little time on the bench. The team battled back.
The Banchero we saw the last part of the game, the one that was dominating, has nothing to do with K getting him the ball. It’s on Banchero. He played like a man.

Dude are you serious right now? Do you not understand how the staff failed our guys HORRIBLY just now? What is wrong with some of you? You think that’s being a coach k hater?! We had 12 seconds left and a guy HERO BALL his way to a pitifully attempted layup that lost the game. All you can cry about is criticisms against coach k but you can’t even open your eyes and see what an awful coaching job continues to snowball. Next thing you’re going cry about is it’s not ks fault we have so little depth… who do you think created this team ? Smh wow
He only posts when we're losing to bash K. It's his MO. I'm tired of it. Part of the reason why great posters don't post anymore. I'm all for being critical. But that's all he and a few others do is show up in the losing game day threads to make negative comments. The couch coaches are out in full force after a loss on here always.
Four pretty simple things.
1) Can’t go almost thirty minutes with the best player in the country getting one shot attempt.
2) We played zone to get the lead and then went man to man to give up a basket and go to overtime. This could be debated…
3) K sat on the timeout like all would make fun of Roy for doing. No play run… no offense…and the best player not touching the ball again….this isn’t even debatable. Total hero ball individual crap….and it’s crap.
4) We have zero offense sets….zero. If it’s a half court game we are in big big trouble. We are as good as the individual play that game….it doesn’t win championships.
But isn’t that the purpose of a board? I mean I’ve been on here for the better of ten years and I’ve seen posters come and go . But if you can’t handle people like that simply don’t reply. Fans are frustrated. It happens it’s the reason for a message board. When I think K does something wrong I’m going to voice my opinion . I only have an issue with bashing players .
however I will say this, there isn’t much pressure being put on defensive rebounding because that is clearly one of Dukes weak parts.
I mean if you're okay with not winning the ACC yet again, in a down year, getting a 3 seed and having to play a 2 seed in the sweet 16, then great. I want more than that, esp after the ****show of the last 2 years. Plenty of time to turn it around but this team has issues. We let FSU dictate the game.
Just leaving the game. My observations from sitting behind the FSU bench- FSU didn’t play as well against the 2-3 Zone. Not sure why K went to man on the last play of regulation. Also not sure why he didn’t use the final time out. Guess that’s why he is the coach and I’m just a fan.
I won’t go that far this team has talent , however there does seem to be more excuses then fixes happening.
But I’m with you. I’ll take a loss when you get beat fair and square but Duke got out played physically and it wasn’t the lack of but 15 turnovers and 19 offensive rebounds that cost them the game.
This will piss some off here, but K hasn't coached in quite a while at this point. Nothing is going to change until he hangs it up.
I see your point. Again, being critical is fine. Posting 99% of the time with a negative bias gets old. We've lost so many great posters because of it. Hard to ignore that.

K didn’t do that and I’m not sure how you can even debate it….he was more of an overseer than a coach.
If that’s bashing K then so be it….it is what it is.
People on any fan message board are going to be negative after a loss; it's venting. I've never seen a problem with it as long as it's not personal or downright bashing. It's honest. I'm not just going to say next play. Because we are not playing like a team for long stretches, and that bothers me. We also don't play consistent enough for a deep tourney run right now. if we can't get stops we are not going to win close games against good teams.

We lost those guys because they got tired of everyone not sucking off to coach k. Crying about how “it’s not coach ks fault guys don’t develop” when he literally picks his teams
Being an FSU football fan, I understand what it feels like when you know you have a more talented team than the opponent but don't play to your capability. I would say that this team is much better than our record indicates, and our talent level matches up better if you judge us 10 deep versus 5. This honestly, could have been a top 15 game with us having our full compliment of players and having an opportunity to get some more experience for the young guys before some of our tougher early season games.
That being said, the zone that brought you back was definitely a sign of smart coaching. Keeping it under your hat until the end may seem counterintuitive, but to me, you do those things in a moment where it is hard to adjust due to remaining time and it is best suited to have that kind of impact.
I hope that Keels is able to not miss any time or very little time. Sat next to some nice duke fans tonight and enjoyed their willingness to express themselves respectfully. We both got calls that were bad but in the end I saw two teams that will probably end up in the top 3 of the conference. The return game at Cameron will be a lot different I'm sure, I hope we are both intact for that one.

Changing from the zone to a man to man at the end of regulation did not make sense. Same thing beat Duke vs Miami. Middle is open and guy drives right and makes layup.
AJ screwed up not guarding 3 PT shooter after they broke the press in OT. To give up 3 pts in seven seconds is not winning basketball. I like what Moore has done at Duke but he is not a NBA player

Showing up only to complain is what some of them do though. It gets old. "K doesn't coach anymore" is a classic one after a loss. Same posters are then usually nowhere to be found when something positive occurs. I'm critical too. But my lord it's freaking ridiculous how much bashing goes on during a tough game day thread.
FSU is coached by a future hall of fame coach. They always play us tough at home. Always. Then we lose Keels. I'm proud of the team for fighting to get back in it after they took one on the chin and lost their brother. Tough loss. Going to be even tougher moving forward if we lose Keels or he's out for a significant period of time.
Studies have shown that outscoring the opponent is a key ingredient to winning.
Happened vs Gonzaga too. Same exact play happened as well. I’m starting to realize Duke has absolutely no plays on a 1 possesion game on the line scenario
