Man, the real ACC COY made an adjustment in the second half that helped seal the win. Edwards was killing Duke one on one in the first half. So what does Scheyer do? He double teamed Edwards on the perimeter with a BIG forcing him to give up the ball and no one else on Louisville was a threat to score, not even Hepburn. Brilliant move by the 3rd year coach. Props are deserved!

Also, you hate having injuries at this time of year but they also allow opportunities for other players. Now Scheyer has more players he can trust before the injuries which will allow Duke to play many different styles. This team is very versatile. You never want to be without your best player because after the Round of 64, each round gets tougher and tougher. Playing a deeper bench allows us to pressure other teams since we will be fresher. That wears down other teams after 40 minutes.

EVERYBODY shortens their bench during the tourney, and we are all very used to K doing that through much of the regular season, whether we agreed with him or whether we were wrong.

But this year, we have successfully integrated a deeper rotation -- depending on match-ups -- with little drop-off. There is no reason to shorten the bench just for the sake of it. Caleb and Pat's play down the stretch warrants maintaining a 9-man rotation once Coop is back.
