🚨 Official Gameday Thread- Duke vs Kentucky- champions classic 🚨

2 TO's in 10 seconds at the end...very poor. Second half looked disorganized. Maybe due to the injuries but both ends looked frantic not rehearsed. Hopefully we do add some organization to the talent we have...a familiar story

Got to hit shots . If the perimeter is not hitting then you clog the lane . The last two iso plays for flag could have been way better.

Cooper is amazing! But asking your power forward to take it the length of the court w/ 10 seconds left is tough. The play out of the timeout was ugly too. I didn’t really seem like a play. Just give the ball to Flag and see if he can bail us out.

Duke missed tons of shots. Yes, it's early, but they got outplayed physically. The deficits were exposed. This was not Army or Maine. They will see more teams like UK.

Live by the 3. Die by the 3. Another year of chunking up 3s all game instead of going inside. *sighs* Whatever.
We led in the paint . Bit of you can’t hit Three’s then is it not ideal to take away how your scoring and make them take jump shots ? I mean the last three years we continue to hear how we have shooters and it’s always hit or miss . Foster missed two back to back wide open three’s. You got to be more than one romantic offensively.

The game changed when Mal went out. Losing Sion to injury didn't help either. I thought he brought another level with his defense. Our backcourt didn't perform well in the second half. Foster missed several open shots. Proctor disappeared after playing so well in the 1st half.

Then we couldn't hit 3s, they hit a bunch of 3s, we couldn't score late, and we turned the ball over in critical times. So we lost. Our youth showed tonight at the worst times. I'm pissed. But I think we will learn a lot from this game. Championships aren't won or lost in November.

The sky ain’t falling. I’d rather lose this game and improve throughout the season than to peak in January. I’m still disappointed on Jon’s play calling after timeouts. I blame Jay Williams for his halftime critic.

This is why we have Sion.

Yes very disappointing performance by the team especially the second half. They got out scored 14 points and Duke scored only 26 for the half. Duke was supposed to be the defensive team. Back to work they go, one less quad 1 win though and even less chances to pick any up. Arizona, Kansas, Auburn and Illinois games are must win now or looking at another 3/4/5 seed

Sometimes an early loss can be good. We won't beat a good team shooting that poorly and we need another guy over 6-8. We need to get Pat up to speed and in the rotation. Seems like when we get an early lead and the other team roars back it doesn't end well for us.

Dont see much change in how JS is going about building a team. Seems very familiar on offense, more about talent and ISO vs posting up, or driving the ball to create space or a called play...we lose our rebounding when Maluach goes out even though we are a big team. Sooo looking forward to the rinse and repeat of the last few years or more...would love to be wrong but this just looks too familiar

I don’t know about the physical statement . Duke simply was pretty much one dimensional offensively tonight causing UK to adjust very easily .
