I explained why: because y'all use such extremist language so regularly that the bar is THAT low for demonstrating a sliver of hope for any middle ground.
You explained why it is your opinion that we should give points to the other side. And I explained why it is my opinion that it isn't important to me to do that. Let's not pretend that the liberals in this country are the ones looking for common ground. Truth is, common ground is something that just goes without saying. By a large margin, it is lefties ending friendships, disowning family members and demonizing conservatives in their lives. So getting me to concede a point to some so called Kamala supporters won't really move the needle. But I did tell you that I would eventually get to your video and see what I can do to honor your request.

If anyone here ever feels frustrated that I don't seem to be flexible enough, KD provides a prime example of why: I made a concession that included disapproval of certain liberal talking points and it wasn't enough. It's never enough.

We now return to our regularly scheduled programming where I get accused of being a sheep who is in lockstep with the very people I just demonstrated separation from.
Problem is, you said “ I own that. And only that”. Or some such.
Don’t limit your growth. You’re making progress. You need to push yourself to go further. Think fentanyl and reflect

It’s preposterous that Israel is singled out with accusations of genocide when Assad recently killed half a million people and the Left and msm were silent to just name one example I give you credit for distancing yourself from the antisemitic fringe of your party.
Problem is, the former and current de facto leader of your party Obama still engages in anti semitic themes such as the “ illegal occupation” . What occupation is he talking about? Does he not recognize Israel’s right to exist?

Game 1 - Maine-Duke - 7 p.m., 11/4

Thank God, IT'S BASKETBALL SEASON.

Preview for tomorrow night's game -- complete with a My Take atop all of the usual notes.

Programming note: I'll be there with full coverage tomorrow night.

Predictions:

- Duke shoots above 40% on 3-pointers.

- Kon Knueppel is the only Blue Devil to score 20-plus points.

- Khaman Maluach has at least 3 blocks, at least 3 Khamans, and double-digit rebounds.

- Cooper Flagg scores 12 points but flirts with a triple-double (rebounds and assists).

I don't know why it is important to give people a cookie for a single good point when the arguments are won or lost based on all the points combined. Of course, this is my opinion. But I will download your video and watch it on my flight on Tuesday if I don't get to it this evening while in my office. Depends on how busy we are tonight.

Exaggerated? It’s nonexistent. Half of the alleged 40,000 killed are terrorists according to the IDF. The 40,000 # comes from Hamas’ Health Ministry. The anti- Israel ICJ has already determined there’s no genocide.
Re: the other 20,000 a large % of those are civilians harboring terrorists, civilians storing weaponry in their homes such as was just discovered en masse in southern Lebanon, or civilians used as human shields by Hamas’ design to create maximum casualties to stir up international outrage against Israel. This strategy only works if you have a leftist media like the BBC and CNN willing to cultivate the lies.
The civilian: combatant casualty ratio in Gaza is one of the lowest in modern history and is lower than the US’ wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, despite the fact that Gazans are used as human shields and Hamas embeds its military operations in schools and hospitals

The other Muslim countries want nothing to do with the “Palestinians” ( concept invented by Arafat; before that the word wasn’t used to exclusively describe Arabs) but they ( with the help of the UN) want them to remain permanent refugees as a weapon in the propaganda war against Israel. The goal is to change other refugees’ status ASAP. With UnRHWA the goal is the status quo. They claim they want the “right of return” when a lot of these people actually moved to the region after 1948. if these refugees were ever moved into Israel it would mean the end of Israel. Most of the 2 million Arabs living in Israel haven’t been radicalized like the refugees have
In fact, the majority of Israeli Arabs support the war to end hamas.

I have found studying the history of Israeli Jews to be very fascinating. But the history of Palestine is even more interesting because of how relatively recent it starts and how different the history is told by opposing sides. When people defend the Palestinians as if they are victims, they know nothing about their history. They are victims, but they're victims of their own people and who they support. They've been forced out of every country they had a significant number of people in because they don't accept the rule of the land and they are obsessed with war. They've caused civil wars everywhere They've been. Of all of the Arab nations who condemned Israel, not a single one accepted Palestinian refugees. Egypt even threatened death to those who tried to cross over. They want nothing to do with Palestinians. Palestinians by large numbers, support Hamas. They are taught at a young age to be radical and to hate Israel. Until there is a major shift in culture where they focus on the betterment of their own people, there will always be conflict. It's a shame. Because they live in a literal paradise, but make it hell.

Yes, well, apologies for using that format twice in 24 hours.

I think conservatives would genuinely enjoy the Ben Shapiro video. My question is whether you would acknowledge any appreciation for anything said by anyone else, as I have clarified a couple times now. I mean, geez, it would almost qualify as a moral victory for y'all to admit he beat them 134-1 because you'd at least be admitting they scored a single point, which is more than most of you ever offer.

Thanks for the video rec. I might get around to it. I trust Shapiro's intellect and knowledge. I do not trust his objectivity. I suspect I would find the video informative, but not as convincing as you do.

All the countries surrounding Israel want to destroy it. It’s hard to have a conversation about Israel without acknowledging their unique situation It’s also difficult to discuss the topic seriously when one side throws around words like genocide and apartheid without knowing what they mean. Occasionally, you’ll find an Islamist or Leftist who has some clue about Israel’s recreation in 48 but not often.
67% of historical Palestine is now the state of Jordan. Gaza and the West Bank ( Judea and Samaria) are majority Arab and Israel is majority Jewish. Yes many Arabs were expelled or voluntarily left in 48 after the armies of the Mid East lost the first of many wars to Israel.
The Arabs were offfered a state in 48 along with another state which is now called Jordan. The Arabs got most of the land, Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Quran once, and they still responded with war.
You hear a lot of talk of occupation from Obama and his ilk. He knows full well Hamas has run Gaza since 2006. So when you hear the Left talk of occupation, this is code for expel the Jews from the only country they haven’t already been kicked out of. Expel if they’re lucky that is. Many would receive a crueler fate. Meanwhile Muslims in Europe are chanting that Jews “ go back to where they come from”. I’m a little confused as to where that is since Muslims also claim Jews have no religious or historical ties to Israel.

And yet you so often acknowledge good points we’ve made. It’s getting harder and harder to tell if you’re serious or trolling

For the record, the rhetoric about genocide and apartheid so frequently used by people on my side of the aisle is largely exaggerated and does not help the discussion. I'll own that and that alone.
Unfortunately, when there’s a terrorist attack in this country again and it’s determined they came across the southern border, your side will have some ‘splainin to do then as well. The Blame Trump for everything game ain’t cuttin it no more ( I wrote that in a fake Black accent Kamala style)

But Mommy he called them dumb first. You’re the one who brought their intelligence to the fore. I was going to go with indoctrinated
Uhhh... if you factually called or implied someone is dumb first... and I let that slide... then you try to call me on doing the same thing (ie, telling "mommy"), a "but mommy" response is entirely warranted and logical. Repeat: I didn't whine about it until you whined about my doing it while ignoring that you did the same thing.

Look, if we're going to sling mud here, fine. I'm game. If not, also fine. But don't initiate it, then complain that I'm playing the game the same way.

The "tell me this without telling me this" thing is getting overused here. Also, why are we being weird with a Ben Shapiro video? What's the gain? I don't need to watch the video to know that he dominated Harris supporters. Because Harris supporters are mindless sheep who can't articulate their reasons for supporting her. Mainly due to the fact that there isn't an objective reason to support her to articulate.

I like the Shapiro debates on the history of Palestine and Israel. A lot of the people he debates on that subject provide good thought and knowledge. Of course on most aspects, they both can't be right. I tend to agree with Shapiro, not just because he is a conservative, but because he is more convincing to me. I haven't watched too many of his videos involving American Politics.

This isn't a debate, but I found it to be a solid breakdown on the history of Israel/Palestinian conflicts.
